About Me

Local Bands today are full of one dream, to make it big. Bands desire nothing more than getting signed to a label, selling t-shirts and CDs and all of their merch so they can live their lives happily off of the money they make touring and selling.
We are NOT one of those local bands.
We have jobs, and we have dreams that go beyond these walls of sound, and because of that anything you find us selling will automatically be at least half the price of any other band. The shows we put on will be real, you'll see us on stage giving everything we've got because this ISN'T our job, it's our passion.
People in the music business are so fake, and disguise everything about themselves just so you will like them. We might not be the biggest thing in the local area, we wont be found in the trendiest of local magazines, and you probably will see us make asses of ourselves on at least one occasion. The only reason for that is because we are NOT afraid of what you will think of who we actually are. And we will not have our fans be instructed to listen to us.
If you like our music listen to it, if it's not your thing at all, don't be misguided into believing it is trendy.
Nothing makes a show great like a crowd that is totally into the music. Please don't come to the shows if you're going to sit around and wonder when we're going to be finished playing, and please don't come if you aren't going to feel the music. We want to see people dancing and having a blast in the crowd, because we'll be having a blast on stage.
We're five guys who love making music. We all come from different musical backgrounds which include metal, punk, hardcore, funk, experimental, ambient, and acoustic. Hopefully these tastes and sounds come together nicely to create something that people will want to listen to. If no one in the world wants to listen to our music, that's okay with us, it's still going to be what we play because it's what we enjoy.
As far as the things that we sell. We've got loads of magnets (six different designs in two different sizes) stickers, pins, guitar picks, patches, our Live at Fletchers Album, Local Highrise Matches (three different designs, all of them free), and even some random things like a greeting card for guys that just cant stop pissing off their girlfriends... What says sorry more than a card that quotes "Everybodys fighting over my balls"
Finally (since I should stop typing soon) we run our website www.LocalHighrise.com as a good source of holding all of our personal bios, pictures, music, lyrics, merch, and even a tagboard which is a fun way to secretly bash your best friends (or you could be nice?) So check it out and have some fun with it. Thanks for reading all of this shit!
