Born in Danville, IL. I've been playing drums since the age of 3. Having a father that was a professional bass player/quartet singer and a mother that is a professional gospel/R&B singer, I had no choice but to be musically inclined. At the age of 10, I recorded my first album with Rev. Byrd and "The Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church Choir." I went on to middle school where I played the drums and sang for the South View Middle School Chorale under the direction of Mr. Stanley Butts. As a teen, I played for many local choirs. Since then I have played for and/or shared the stage with gospel artists such as John P. Kee, Chicago Mass Choir, Canton Spirituals, Bryan Wilson (who is also my brother), New Direction, Dorinda Clark,Tye Tribbett and even Shirley Murdock.There is no genre that I cant or won't tap into,I did music with Chris Dodson,who is/was the Executive producer of "Mint Condition." Just recently I played at the HOUSE of BLUES with the daughter of the Legendary B.B.King(Shirley King),which that experience was my most highest.I have been supporting my brother Bryan Wilson playing for him,singing background on his CD as well as writing music.Currently I have been playing with T-Vegas and Hollywood,Tim Deal Quintet,Big Mo and The Phat Groove,Noah I.Brown and Company(studio sessions) and various Ministry teams.. In addition, I have a now 8 year old daughter who has set a new beat to the rhythm of my life. I'm known for playing the drums with my "special shoe." A drummer by the name of LaDell Abrams told me to find something that made me different from everybody else. So I grabbed my old Stacey Adams shoe and played with it because it had a slick bottom. So everywhere I went, people knew me for carrying around one shoe. I'm just a drummer trying to get where all of my idols are. I am a spectacular father, a real down for ya kind of guy,with a Napoleon syndrome(ha ha ha)!
