Michigan based Dutch Henry, truly became a band after the release of their first CD '1973'.
John Merchant, Greg Miller, and Mitch Wood wrote, recorded and self produced the 8 song EP in 2001 . When released, in 2002 the disc immediately garnered praise from the Roots Rock community around the world.
Early in 2003, 6-1-5 Records Nashville promoted the disc to radio across the country. It soon rose into the Top 100 Americana Music Association Radio charts and is still played on over 56 NPR and College Mix radio stations as well as XM and Sirius Satellite radio.
When the band's touring schedule began to mount, Todd Long, from Idol Records punk pop band Molly was added to complete the lineup.
Dutch Henry's soon to be released second project 'All That Space' highlights the mastery of song and production from all members of of the group.
Live, this band has been compared and crossed with, The Clash meets Johnny Cash meets Badfinger meets Jason and the Scorchers. All resulting in a musical spectacle that is hard to look away from. Prompting one reviewer to say 'Dutch Henry does not play background music. They have an infectious energy that jumps out, grabs you by the ear and pumps you full of honest, gritty music.'
