Dan Knight aka Sacrifice was born Febuary 11th, 1984 in the city of Wilmington Deleware. Ever since he can remember he has had music in his blood. Musical talent seems to have a patern in the Knight family with his Uncle being a very sucessful singer. It was around 1996 while living in the city of Tampa, when Sacrifice figured out what he had in him. He used to buy cd single's with instrumentals on them, so one day he decided to put them to use. He decided to pick up a pen and see what he could do. He started writing to a Bone Thugs-n-Harmony beat "Body Rott", and the rest is history. It was'nt at all glamourus considering he was only 13 and could'nt afford studio equiptment. So he pluged old headphones into a stereo mic port and found that he could record. The quality was nothin to speak about, but he just wanted to be heard. He then teamed up with his best friend Justin Brown aka Obese and tought him how to write. Togethor they went on to make a cd called "The Battlez On". This time around they put Obese's computer skills to work and recorded using a stock microphone and cool edit. They showed everyone they knew and did'nt get one bad review. This gave him the confidence to put his talent to use and he started to build the man now known as Sacrifice. Unfortunetly Obese moved away in 2001 and this made it very difficult for Sacrifice to record because he still did'nt have equiptment of his own. Anxiously waiting to record, Sacrifice put his freestyle skills to use and was known around his school and city as a "freestyle rapper". Anyone who ever went against Sacrifice saw defeat. No one around his way could compete with him. It got really popular in the inner circle when he was chillin with his crew "3D" during smoke sessions. He used to blow everyones mind with the thoughts he spit. After a while Sacrifice was Itching for more. He was'nt satisfied with what he had done so far in the game. He then took a trip up to NJ in 2002 to see Obese. They cut what is arguably one of there biggest songs to date "Beef Commitment", but this still was'nt enough for Sacrifice. He knew he was destined to do more than what he had done. During the next few years he got frusterated with not being heard and put the mic down. That is until 2004 when he met Deca. Deca was an around the Bay emcee who had been doin his thing for a minute. Fice had heard of him but never met him. He was introduced to Deca through mutual friends and they clicked musicly. Over the next few months Deca got Sacrifice back in the game. They went on to record 6 Cuts, but more importanly this lit a fire under Sacrifice and made him the rapper who you hear today. He once again knew that he had it in him, and this time he would'nt give up till he succeeded. In early 2005 he moved to Atlanta, Georiga. Through his networking Sacrifice was able to land with Dolla Ent., a Indie lable out of Boston. He has gone on to cut songs for them working with the Owner/CEO/Producer Da Beatzsmith. Sacrifice currently still works with Obese and Deca and is always doing new projects. He is working on his Mixtape that is at the time untitled, and date TBA.
