My interests include playing College Football and Madden on PS2 (I am that deal), learning about people through communicating with them, surfing the net, traveling, and working out. I am also in the beginning stages of writing my best selling novel (beginning like I have nothing on paper yet). But trust me people, when I do, you're going to definitely want a copy. Oprah's Book Club here I come!!!
My first response to this portion of my profile caught me lots of heat from some people (I guess no one likes to be called psychotic). Funny thing is I didn't call any names, but like the old adage goes, "The guilty pig will squeal." Anyway, I'd like to meet someone who can simply communicate in a sensible manner. I understand that there are fundamental differences in the way men and women view things (e.g. men are logical thinkers and women are emotional thinkers), and I know it takes us men to be compassionate and "sensitive to your feelings" sometimes, but is there a woman out there who can try to see things from another perspective ONCE? I know my generalizations are going to offend some people, but frankly, I don't care because this is my page and I can speak my mind how I see fit. Give me a woman who can understand that I work 14-16 hours a day (everyday), am tired when I get off, and can't call them everyday and I'm happy. Lastly, women, PLEASE don't set unrealistic expectations on me when we first meet. The only thing you can expect from me is for me to be myself and when you get to know me, decide whether or not I'm the one for you. Until you know me, stop questioning me!!! Have a sense of humor ladies. I'm not that bad of a guy. Just know what I want and what I'm tired of.
I really don't have a music preference. I ride to rap and relax to rhythm and blues. The greatest artist of all time is Tupac. I am also a big Gnarls Barkley fan as you can see from my profile. I feel like I am in St. Elsewhere right now. I also like rappers like Nas, Outkast, TI, Lil Wayne, Trick Daddy, and Scarface. Some of my favorite artists are Jamie Foxx, John Legend, Ginuwine, Usher, KCI and JoJo, Jaheim, and believe it or not Prince.
I am an avid movie watcher. My favorite movie of all time is Frailty starring Matthew McConaughey and Bill Paxton. Some of my other favorite action movies are Armaggeddon, Gladiator, Any Given Sunday, Bad Boys I and II, and the Blade and Matrix Trilogies. My favorite comedies are O Brother, Where Art Thou, all the Fridays, Life, Harlem Nights, Rush Hours I and II, and any Martin Lawrence movie. My favorite actor is Martin Lawrence and my favorite actress is none other than Halle Berry.
I only watch TV occassionally, but when I do, I watch certain shows. Sportscenter is a mainstay on my TV. My favorite show on TV is Nip/Tuck, followed by Rescue Me. Of course it is always great to watch Martin, The Cosby Show, and the Jamie Foxx Show. But most of the time, if my TV is on, then I am drilling a ni**a on the PS2.
I am just starting to get into reading, but I am catching on. My first book read in its entirety was Ender's Game. I've since read a few more since then, mostly suspense novels I buy when I'm in the airport. I try to read the Bible regularly, but I don't and this is my main goal.
I'm not one for heroes because I feel we are all heroes in our own right. If I had to pinpoint one person in my life who I consider a hero, it would be my mother, the late Phyllis McNeal Simmons. She portrayed everything that I feel a woman should be. She was truly a person who not many people could say negative things about when she left this earth.
