About Me

Very happily married for 8 years to my lovely patient wife. I have 4 kids 7 and under, 3 boys and 1 girl. I have my own photography business (www.jamestaylorphotography.com) and am helping start a new church in downtown Bellingham, MOSAIC. (www.mosaicnw.com) I love baseball, watching movies, music, photography, art, reading, a good beer and a good cigar.

My Interests

Food, Photography, Baseball, Reading, Art, My Family, & Music. Church planting! I firmly believe "The Church" is not doing its job and hope to help change that. Jesus came to love people. Is the church known for its love...?

I'd like to meet:

George Brett, Rob Bell (I met him!), Jimmi Hendrix, Adam Sandler, Bill Cosby and Batman. Jesus would be pretty cool to meet as well.

Music:

Rock & Hard Rock are my favorite. I do listen to everything but country. My all time favorite is U2. Linkin Park, Fort Minor, AC/DC, Jimmi Hendrix, Snow Patrol, System of a Down, Elbow, Daydreamer...

Movies:

Too many to list but here are a few: Dead Poets Society (get off your butt and make a difference and don't be copy cat do something different), Remember the Titans (motivating, love football, Denzel is Denzel), Billy Madison (Adam's first major movie. I remember watching it in the theatre and about wet my pants. Still quote it to this day), Batman Begins (my favorite superhero), We Were Soldiers (Mel Gibson is a stud), Hotel Rowanda (a must see. if it doesn't effect you check your pulse), Tommy Boy (I am sad Chris is dead because the dude is frickin hilarious), Crash (a great movie about racism, a must see.) Taledega Nights (Will Ferrell at his finest.).

Television:

Lost, 24 & Alias (my wife and I are addicted to all 3), Arrested Development (characters are hilarious), Miami & LA Ink, Cosby Show (Bill Cosby is hilarious and it is even funnier now that I am married and have kids. It is my all time favorite show)

Books:

Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller (a must read), Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell, James Patterson Novels, Unstoppable Force by Erwin McManus. Eat This Book by Eugene Peterson. The Bible is pretty sweet as well. I enjoy The Message Version by Eugene Peterson.

Heroes:

Jesus, Hudson Taylor, Rick McKinly, Rob Bell and Donald Miller.
