Trends. You gotta love em. They're all around us, everyday, whether we like it or not. Force fed down our throats and plastered on billboards bigger than the house you and i live in. We have no choice but to soak up what is popular culture. So we become complacent, we give in to them. We collectively become a trend as a generation, completely losing our own identity. Perhaps one of the most blatant trends is happening right now in our music scene. Emocore, metalcore, post-hardcore, screamo, nintendo-core, grindcore, etc etc. There is a core for everything, but despite different prefixes there arises little difference between the sub-genres; it has become stale and contrived. But perhaps there is hope to be had for musicians and fans alike. Five individuals who believe in making music for the purpose of invoking emotions and feelings, regardless of trend or mainstream appeal. Dead by Tuesday is a band that strives to wipe out the ever-growing staleness that has come over music like a disease. Dead by Tuesday places emphasis on concentrated song-writing and musicality. Combining technical intricacy, adventurous harmonic content, and pure fist pumping heaviness, Dead by Tuesday creates a fresh sound in today's scene. There is no core, there is only ROCK!
