A Great Guy Looking for a Great Gal!

About Me

This is but the tip of the iceberg (not ICE COLD, thank you!). For more just take the chance and write (cheap price, it doesn't cost anything!). My interests are varied, like living! For those who look at the label on the food container or car, here's the specks: low-fat, low calories, 245lbs/horsepower, high energy output four cylinders, Stacked 5'11" high (higher with the right person!) Salt//gray, styled over-head cams. Likes high test fuel, rock & roll, crazy sense of humor (Oh Yeah!), four wheel drive, but stands upright most of the time, drives, sports sedan and motorcycle, but not at the same time! Steady chassis, with great struts, but no golden boy/fitness nut, high in intelligence (well, we'll see!), low in snob content. No baggage, No children, No ex-wife’s (Ex-girlfriends, Yes!), and some fat content (ten lbs. losing, loves chocolate, cutting back). 56,000(age) miles of good mileage, no need for an overhaul till well over 100,000, if lucky. Does need periodic quality maintenance, tender loving care, good handling, but not constant attention (being smothered can cause poor performance!). I do not have all the answers (who does!) and will admit it (Oh Yeah!). Has high powered sound system (can't you hear?), that plays almost anything except negative rap (that includes talk too), unrelated country (except Lyle Lovett, he is Great), and classics that are not classics any more. Prefers high-test rock & roll/concerts, jazz, as long as the energy is there. Operates best in the mountains of NC or TN, likes high altitude hikes, whitewater rafting, but not all the time. Looking for a great off beat sense of humor, independence, intelligence, bright lights, deep eyes, long looks, but not perfection. Well enough of this. If I keep going on we will have nothing to talk about and you will have nothing to ask! Thank you! for getting this far, you might as well write and see if this is just bunk or the real thing. Odds are I'm the latter. But remember, this could be life's best keep secret! My High School was on the Coast, outside Morehead City, East Carteret High. I have a BS in BS i.e. Philosophy, minor in General science from Campbell U. I started my masters program at NC State, but dropped out in the first year. I have been certified by the State Of North Carolina as an instructor in "Public Service Excellence, taken computer training courses, certified in TQM (total quality management), Chaired local/regional business organizations, annual volunteer at First Nite, and Art Splosure. I know now how little I really know about this world. Each day is a new learning experience. Some more than others! But the greatest education of all is that of getting to know someone special.

My Interests

I want to experience new things that life provides to us but we must make an effort to do. Some are as easy as see more of the world and our wonderful country. Others are trying some things new like hot air ballooning, skydiving, and scuba diving, learn a new craft, like painting. Someday I would like to live in the mountains, a simple but wonderful experience with nature and life. For those business types looking for goal orientation, try this. Two to five years: Develop a consulting practice that involves the lowest overhead product available today, knowledge. What type? Ah! That's the questions, finding the nitch market to apply. Tomorrow’s success HAS NOT BEEN INVENTED YET!On any give evening, a movie, a game of pool, a trip to the comedy club, dinner out with a friend, a phone call from a friend, playing with rescued birds, Kallie, (the cockatoo), Mickey ( the old cockatiel) and Periwinkle (the Budgie).riding my bike (motorcycle), doing something I have never done before. I can do most things by myself but it is more enjoyable with friends and/or companions the weekends, travel, sight see, unplanned trips to the coast, to the mountains, to a flee market, anything that is new and interesting.

I'd like to meet:

I like meeting almost anyone (except maybe a policeman at 2:30 am!). Every body has their good traits, even me! I look for the following: but not all at once, nobodies perfect! Bright (does the light come on), Intelligent (1&1 is.), a great sense of Humor (if you don't laugh at this I'm in trouble!!), self-motivated (does not shoot alarm clocks!), educated (a least have someone’s high school ring, college ring is a plus!), a wonderful sense of adventure (has gone outside their home city limits!), the ability to be child-like yet devilish (please no diaper changing or second time felons!), devoted to herself and the one's she loves (not her mirror!), makes friends at the drop of a hat(not a police hat!), is self-secure but needs to be loved (please, no Black Widows!), a sense of adventure, but grounded in reality (REM is allowed!). The ability to laugh, cry, be angry, make mistakes & forgive (Oh Please forgive Me!) One does not have to be all these things, but they are good goals to have, for they are mine. I would like to meet someone who understands the true meaning of sharing all that life has to offer! And have fun at it! Sexy is a state of mind, which the body follows. When they get separated the body slows, the mind drifts. When they work together, Ah the magic! Great eye contact, a lilting smile, a turn of the head. Ok, if you have a great body I guess that's alright! If you read the things I have said so far, you will know what is interesting to me. I love the outdoors, especially the mountains, (Boone & Gatlinburg TN). What am I looking for in a person? Well if I haven't covered that so far, write me and ask! I will answer you! But for those of you looking for a sound bit, I want to meet interesting people, but they do not have to be like me, just be & like themselves! Varity is the spice of live!

Music:

I really enjoy concerts. I have been too many. Have my own earplugs! My music tastes are varied, but I am a rocker at heart but I love music in general. When an artist is at the top of there game, not matter what type of music, I enjoy the artistry. But most of all I enjoy sharing these experiences with some one special!

Books:

George Carlin's Brain Droppings was wonderful. I enjoy John Greshum, Peter Benchley, Tom Wolfe, and others. Science Mag, National Geo, Rolling Stone and anything that's interesting at the moment. I try to keep an open mind (that why I keep a crow bar by the computer) to the world at large. If we were all the same, it would be very boring. But it would be far better to "read" a living book, by just listening to the good conversation of another.

Heroes:

My Father, Hands down.
