I am here for Friends

About Me

I'm playful, positive and feel a sense of joy and pleasure each day. Life is a wonderful gift and those that can truly live in the moment will always find peace and happiness. I am blessed with two loving adult children and I enjoy my work. I'm outgoing, talkative and quite animated in my expressions. I am kind and giving by nature, very real and down to earth. I'm a true romantic; passionate and very affectionate. I don't like drama, high maintenance or pretentious people. Real people get my attention. A warm heart and warm eyes will always melt even the hardest steel. A heart is a precious thing to give make sure you give it to someone who will always protect it.

My Interests

Gum ball machine thoughts and ramblings is where I'll be leaving short blogs. Feel free to comment, give an opinion or whatever comes to mind.

Living better through personal interaction; quiotic dreams, common sense. Nature and the outdoors, Pets (one day I'll have another dog), painting and creating, working on projects, cooking (CA doesn't have real Bubba-Q-Sauce), gardening, especially growing flowers, camping, spending time with friends, reading, going to a movie or relaxing at home and puttering, traveling, hiking and admiring the beauty and solitude of the mountains or beach. I adore being with my kids, they are wonderful and a lot of fun!! Spontaneous moments are the best!!!

I'd like to meet:

FRIENDS, FRIENDS, FRIENDS!! I get to know my friends and cherish them tremendously!! Friends are the greatest gift!! A man who strives to do his best with positive ambitions who is motivated and has self-determination. Someone who inspires, offers positive supportive and believes in himself with confidence; firm with gentle strength. I favor a fun, playful personality, a clown with a great sense of humor, Someone who has a lot of wit, emotional maturity, and honest and sincere warms my heart and respect. I value Honor, integrity and honesty and a person who is humble.

Where I like to find and collect rock hearts.

Music:

All music, except rap or heavy metal. My favorite song of all is "My Way" for the lyrics and personal, sentimental meaning. R&B and songs that make a statement with melody and lyrics. I also like classical.

Movies:

To name just a few: The Red Violin, The Hunt for Red October, Casablanca, Black Beauty, Orson Wells "Rosebud." Gosh, there are so many great movies! North by Northwest, Seabiscuit, Big Fish (I'm a classics movie fan); sci-fi and some scary movies as long as they aren't stupid but I have to turn the sound off to watch The Scream. The Upside of Anger (all things are not as they appear), Sideways, and Monsters, Inc. (adorable and fun movie!)

Television:

Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe (it's the best!), Discovery, Mad Man, Breaking Bad, Two and a Half Men, 60 Minutes, NFL football and good movies.

Books:

Davinci Code, Tom Clancy, Larry McMurtry (All my Friends are Going to be Strangers), Kellerman, TS Elliott, F. Scott Fitzgerald (Tender is the Night), Melvin Konner (The Tangled Wing), Fritjof Capra (The Tao of Physics), Lewis Carrol (Alice in Wonderland), Ayn Rand (Atlas Shrugged), Tolstoy (War & Peace), Isabel Allende (The House of the Spirits), Murray Bowen and many, many more.

Heroes:

Heroes are people who have a sweet heart and kind soul. We are all heroes when we lend an ear, extend empathy, compassion, and offer support and acceptance and understanding without judgment. A hero isn't what a person does, it's who a person shows to the world.
