About Me

Background By MyPimpSpace.com Profile Edited by MPS MySpace Editor 2.0 Once upon a time, there was this girl who decided that she wanted to be in school FOREVER, so she went to medical school. I graduated from KU Med in 2007, and am currently an intern at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago. What does that mean? I work 80 hours a week and spend every 4th night in the hospital, working. "I want to be a Doctor. I want to be a Doctor."I went to undergrad at Tulane University in New Orleans. Needless to say, I had the best time of my life in the Big Easy, and basically returned to KC, both big and easy. For those peeps at Tulane, most of them didn't know me as Kavitha, but as "Hooch". Its not what you think, ok, well sorta. Just ask me and I'll explain. Anyway, I met some absolutely amazing people at Tulane, and we had some really fun times (most of which we can't remember). My heart goes out to all of the wonderful people of New Orleans in their time of despair. My family is super important to me. Since basically its only my immediate family here in the US, my family is really close. Sure, they annoy the crap out of me sometimes, but I love them regardless. My friends are family to me as well. Given my love of the cell phone, I have been able to maintain contact with most of my friends, and I value my friendships with all of them.My parents are from India, which makes me (lets say it together folks)- Indian, not Puerto Rican, Italian, Greek, Filipino, or German. Honestly, I have been asked about all of those backgrounds. As you can tell, I'm a pretty sarcastic young lady. In my sick way of showing affection, I often tease mercilessly. Some of my friends once said that I was "A 4'11" Indian girl with the personality of a 6'6" German guy."I got married in May 2007 to my wonderful, large Irish dreamboat. Married life has been excellent, and shockingly, not that boring. We may seem like an unlikely match, but hopefully, we'll make some beautiful Irish/ Indian half-breed babies one day. Kahn, he's the cheese to my macaroni.

My Interests

Talking shit (I'm pretty sure I'd medal if it were an Olympic sport), dancing, getting drunk, being a lazy ass, meeting new people, catching up with good friends, and being a bleeding heart liberal, spooning ( I prefer being the little spoon), ice cream, the feeling right when you're putting on lotion, sleeping in, things that contain avocado, showering, going to Target, buying beauty supplies, buying office supplies, making lists, feeling my heart flutter when I'm with my babe, watching movies, chocolate, and rocking out with my cock out.

I'd like to meet:

The Muffin Man. Also, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. , Bill Clinton, Oprah, Toni Morrison. I'd also like to "meet" that guy from Unfaithful- Latin lover with a French accent. Are you kidding me??!!

Music:

I have super varied (random, if you will) taste. My faves: Guns 'N Roses, Nirvana, Gypsy Kings, U2 (mostly in their Joshua Tree days), G. Love & Special Sauce, Black Eyed Peas, Sarah McLachlan, and of course, Journey. Plus, I have a MAJOR crush on JT (that's Justin Timberlake for those of you who aren't down) because he's both fierce and awesome!

Movies:

Sadly, since medical school has decided to shit on my social life, movies are the highlights of my weekend (especially since I got Netflix- so awesome). Some of my favorites (once again, random): Sound of Music, The Princess Bride, American Beauty, Godfather II, Top Gun, Wedding Crashers, Clueless, Good Will Hunting, Grease, etc.

Television:

I must have mindless television in my life. As a child, I learned everything from the tv. Admittedly, I seldom make time to watch specific tv programs, but I love vegging and watching stuff that I'm pretty sure is contributing to my slow and steady loss of intelligence. The best way to suck up an entire weekend is to watch one of those damn Real World/ Road Rules Challenge Marathons. My favorite shows: Rock of Love with Bret Michaels (what a parade of white trash hoochies), Weeds, Dexter, Deadwood, Scrubs, The Cosby Show, Six Feet Under, and the true precursor to Sex and the City, The Golden Girls. Oh how that witty Sicilian geriatric Sophia cracks me up every time.

Books:

There was a time where I knew what the term, "reading for pleasure" meant, then I started medical school. I am all about the strong minority woman author. Gee, I wonder why? Preach on, sistahs. Anyway, my favorite authors are Toni Morrison, Amy Tan, and Jhumpa Lahiri. Oh, and then also, Dave Eggers. My favorite books are Beloved, The Namesake, Interpreter of Maladies, The Joy Luck Club, Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, Youth in Revolt, White Oleander, Catch 22. I have to give props to Bambi and the Butterfly, the first book I ever read.

Heroes:
