About Me

My name is Sam Sundquist, although in high school I convinced others that my full name was actually Sir Samuel Eric Sundquist III, Esquire "The Godfather." I am 30 and live in Edmonds, Washington, which I have dubbed "New Rome," because to me it occupies the center of the civilized world. I am a Christian, and a student, writer, and musician. I attend college sporadically (though lately with greater regularity). I work when I must (though recently more often than not). I write essays, short stories, and poetry. I play the guitar and bass, sometimes in a band, sometimes by myself. My life is a work in progress. I have reached the top and fallen back down. I have avocations, but not as yet a true vocation. Appreciation of nuance and precise self-expression gratify me. Arbitrary pronouncements of authority and false dilemmas frustrate me.
