S.O.U.P. CREW

About Me

The soup crew composed of Prince Ed, Dice Nitty, and Blake P. have been ridin and staying down with each other in the concrete jungle of Memphis, Tennessee for more than six yrs now. The name s.o.u.p. was conjured by T. Davis in 2003 for his desire to make money with his name sake slogan "same ol' usual pimpin". Nineteen at the time Prince Ed along with J.Rose a former member of the group put together unreleased mixtapes reppin the soup crew and it carried around friends and listeners on the Eastside and White Haven areas of Memphis. During label confusion and artistic differences former members of the group parted and chose a different label D.4.T.C. which was partly composed of D.Nitty(was) but after severing ties in 2005 P.Ed, B.P., Dice, and Will S. founded CCM(Connoisseurs Club Music) and are looking to become a major name amongst other Memphis based record labels. Now the group has started new and is moving toward a bright future making good street level music and pursuing other dreams using music as an avenue to accomplishing them. Prince Ed who's front running sound shows his trendsetting nature and ability to depict his lifestyle with rhyme. Dallas, TX bread in 1982 he has been living in Memphis since 1991 where he was raised from place to place around the South Memphis and Hickory Hill areas of the city. With the musical influences of Isaac Hayes, Johnny Taylor, Bobby Womack, The Amazing Soul Stirrers, Willie Hutch, Michael Jackson, Eight Ball & MJG, Three Six Mafia, UGK, Jay-Z, and Playa Fly he will be one of the best artist in the south. He quote says " errbody wanna be the king of the south but I love being the prince of all young players errwhere". Blake P. the face behind lyrical genius shows no mercy when it comes to pursuing greatness and letting those around him know that his place in the rap game is unmatched. B.P. who is Sandiego, california born escondido raised has been living in Memphis since 1991 in the Orange Mound and East Memphis areas of the city. His musical influences are Method Man, Nas, RZA, Outkast, Biggie Smalls, and Slick Rick. Dice Nitty brings money to the table with his hustlers spirit and by any means neccesary attitude toward life and music. Born and raised in Plainfield NJ he moved to Memphis in 1998 to get away from a truent lifestyle. While in Memphis he met P.Ed and Blake P. and has been getting money with them and sharing lifestyles as brothers. His musical influences are RedMan, NAS, DSR, and so on but he qoute says "fuck that just showem my face to go wit my sound and you can hear my influences in every song".
