Music:

i like the typical stuff, mostly classic rock and any new stuff that sounds like it. i pretty much despise country (minus tim mcgraw) and hardcore anything (ie rap, punk, etc). i am anti-musicsnobs.

some things i am listening to right now:
-jet's new album [a-fucking-mazing!]
-radiohead :)
-a lot of led zep

i mostly just listen to my ipod which has random stuff that i remember from my youth.

i am currently obsessed with:
-"wind it up" by gwen stefani. i envision myself having a major dance off when i listen to it.

Movies:

anything likely to scare the bejesus out of me and cause me to have boyfriends check my backseat for scary men with knives when i drive home at night.

Television:

i don't watch tv. this has a deterrant effect on me having any idea what's going on in the world, which really doesn't bother me because i am extremely politically apathetic.

i've also found this deters myriad conversations about just about anything, really, because some people have nothing better to do than talk about things they watch on tv.

on the rare occasions i do watch tv at someone else's house, i've found the following shows to be highly entertaining: the office, top chef, project runway, the wire (LOVE IT), and etc.

Books:

BOOKS: hmmmmm. i read them and i forget what they're about, although i get super engrossed in them. i always feel compelled to read "classics" but i throw in the occasional trashy novel or contemporary it-book to mix it up. i am also anti-literaturesnobs.

some favorites: "catcher in the rye" "the handmaid's tale" by margaret atwood "the bell jar" by sylvia plath "fountainhead" by ayn rand

also i am trying to read one book a month. here goes:
august:
