About Me

I am human.I love, and I make mistakes.I strive to live consciously each day, to break loose from the constraints of the monotony which encapsulates us in our daily lives. I venture out against the tide (and perhaps better judgement) and trust people daily. I find beauty in rocks, I stare at clouds, and hear music resonate from within the laughter of others. I am talented, I write, and I love learning about literature. I am seven classes away from graduation, and I will take my GRE in the fall and inevitably prosper at some large university on the way to a Master's in English. But there is so much life yet to live and so many things left to learn. I want to live and to love, to prosper and decline, breathe in and expire, and to hear all the voices of the room -familiar, supposed and strange. And when old age tolls off in the distance like the brassy chime of a funeral bell and the sun beats down mercilessly across my back, I want to glance back at life and whisper in my dry, raspy speech: "Indeed, I have lived."

Everybody needs to start their own riot. That's what I say. It amazes me how convicted to their past actions people become. It's not like I'm immune to it, but the trick is to not let it saturate you...
