First of all I have to say that I never thought all this would actually happen to me. These kind of things only happen to imaginary characters, or people in the movies and on tv. Not real people. I'm so happy and grateful in taking in every great experience I get.
I began my life with the greatest family waiting for me. I was the last of three girls, the other two were 9 and 12 bye the time a was born. I had a wonderful childhood doing things that children loved to do. Since I was born in the country, I mostly injoyed playin in dirt, climbing trees, catching creatures and of course singing.
I started singing at a very early age. It came natural to me. I remember Mrs. Coopers music class. It was an easy favorite. I got the lead role in 3rd-5th grade musical, I was so happy. When I got a bit older I forced my mom to get me into talent competions, I never won. But usually placed.
In high school I still sang, but only at fairs, church and things. But I mostly consentrated on school, payed off I graduated 2nd in my class. I went to college Northeastern State University, majoring in journalism. I was extremely shy my freshman year. But I joined a sorority sigma sigma sigma and they brought me out of my shell. They encouraged me to sing every where but i was too nervous. My last year of college, I was watching the news and heard about people sleeping outside of American Idol 2005 tryouts, many people told me I should try out, but I never thought I could handle it. My mother offered to drive me to St. Louis, hours away from my hometown, if I wanted to try out.
And the rest is history...
