I started my music list on my intrests list, but here is the background of where my intrest comes from. My mother is a beautician and had a shop in our house when i was growing up the shop was right next to the kitchen where the counter radio was always turned to the oldies station. So by the time that i was 10 I knew every word to every top forty hit from the beatles to marvin gaye. at 13 bought my first tape, the clash give em enough rope got caught up in hair metal thinking it was tough music(we all make mistakes) I had a healthy dose of college rock and punk from my dext door neighbors older sister (morrisey, the dead milkmen, REM, the smiths) and by high school I had embraced grunge. until my junior year, when my older brother who had always had a big part in what i listened to turned me on to bands from the local scene like Pale Divine and Uncle Tupelo. the local scene right now is great with bands like ghost in light, left arm, kentucky knife fight, Rosco Villa, Mike Harper, Butch Moore, and cumberland gap. here are some of the other bands I love. old crow medicine show, the eels, ryan adams, whiskeytown, son volt (trace may be my favorite driving album) wilco, the rolling stones, gram parsons, the flying burrito brothers, Tom Russell, Rodney Crowell, Jerry Jeff Walker, Gillian Welch, merle haggard, Larry jon Wilson, Br549, Hank Williams Sr., and Hank III, Robert Randolf and the family band, ramblin Jack Elliot, Odeta, Mississippi John Hurt, John Lee Hooker, Ray charles, Marvin Gaye, Beck, the band, Muddy Waters, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Woodie Guthrie, the Damnations from TX, and I'll keep adding to this list when I get more time
