About Me

The Biography:
It all started in the heart of Leland, North Carolina (also known as "the mecca of civilization"). I grew up the same as any other kid...my best friend had a rat tail, I had a pet rooster, and my neighbors had at least 9 broken down cars in their yard. Years later, I've moved to Wilmington. I've lost touch with my rat-tail friend and the roosters long-buried (I'm pretty sure my neighbors still have those 9 broken down cars in their yard though), but I'm still the same Leland kid at heart (who never took clogging lessons, and who was never a boy scout). Sometimes I like to go back to Downtown Leland, as I like to call it, to see the....Hardees.....and the.......McDonalds, but mostly I like to avoid it.
A few years later I end up busing tables at this place called "Barrier Island" at Carolina Beach (Leland's sister city). I met some pretty cool people there, but more importantly I met some people that I continue to make fun of regularly to this day. I think if you were to take "Waiting" and "Joe Dirt" and slam them together really hard you would end up with a movie about Barrier Island.
Next I moved to downtown Wilmington with my brother and his pet gecko and and sold propane & propane accessories at Strick's LP Gas in Castle Hayne (another winner town). Right now I go to UNC and live next to a graveyard which is a constant reminder that I'm working my life away.

Observation

I think that it's funny that a bomb in Baghdad today doesn't even make the news tomorrow. In fact, it's so funny that people actually are killing themselves laughing!

Makes you wonder

I saw a squirrel eating a nutty buddy today.  I think that there can be some sort of deep cultural statement that could be said about our manufactured existence in a prosthetic environment, but I...
