Computers, theatre, music, friends, movies, etc.
It's a very long list, but he's just a few from that list.
JFK
Jesus Christ
Johnny Depp (the only person who would wear the Prince symbol as a tie clip to the Oscars.)
Kevin Spacey. Absolutely amazing.
Heavy Metal, Classic Rock, etc. Pretty much anything but country. I like a lot of really good music and a lot of not so good music. There is also a lot of music that I cannot stand. The best way to find out is to ask. Who knows, maybe you'll give me a new group to get to know. I have so much music and such an eclectic taste that I had to remove the list from my page. I just can't fit it all. It takes up too much room.
..
My movie collection has grown a lot over the last couple years. My list is quite long, so just ask.
What I like: Pretty much anything. Horror movies, chick flicks, thrillers, mysteries, action, comedy, drama, everything. I love movies. My list of DVDs or DVD Sets to buy stands over 1100.
The West Wing, Law and Order, Family Guy, Firefly, Highlander, Scrubs, House, Heroes and more. There are so many good TV shows out there (most of them were canceled by FOX at some point) and I love them. I don't get a chance to watch a lot of TV.
Anything Stephen King, anything J.R.R. Tolkien, I'm really starting to get into William Shakespeare and more. I love to read, I just don't get to do it very often. I've been expanding my collection of plays lately.
Johnny Depp. He inspired me to become an actor. After watching Pirates of the Caribbean, I thought, "That's what I want to be. I want to be able to play so many people and have each one be totally different from the other."
Dimebag Darrell Abbott. As part of the Cowboys from Hell that were Pantera, Dimebag and his brother Vinny Paul helped save heavy metal from dying at the hands of grunge. He was one of the first guitarists to demonstrate the use of tuning every string on his guitar down 1/4 of a step, something that became part of his "signature tone". Darrell was, without a doubt, one of the greatest guitarists alive until he was murdered on stage on December 8th, 2004. I had just begun listening to and enjoying Pantera/Damage Plan a couple months before the incident.
John Lennon. Half of one of the greatest singing/song writing teams in history and founding member of The Beatles (who in turn were inspired by Elvis, who I feel is, along with the Beatles, one of the greatest influences on music ever.) I've always been a fan of the Beatles, but it wasn't until I was in NYC and saw both the building where Lennon lived and was shot and Strawberry Fields that I felt a connection with Lennon himself. I developed a great love for his solo work.
John F Kennedy. First Catholic president, assassinated in Texas on November 22, 1963. He did so much in his life and worked in so much pain most of his life. While he wasn't the most honest guy in the world, he was a great man.
John Belushi. Fucking hilarious. I've never seen him do something that was supposed to be funny that wasn't. He was incredibly talented and he was an amazing performer. It's sad that he died when he did.
Chris Farley. He was awesome. Totally hilarious and incredibly mobile for such a big guy.
Jim Carrey. Funny. I love all of his older movies and a few of his newer ones. Lately he hasn't been as good.
Jon Stewart. This guy is amazing. He's hilarious and intelligent. Jon Stewart for president.
Gregory House, MD. He tells it like it is and he is insanely brilliant. He breaks the rules but he does it to help other people. I can only aspire to be half as amazing as he is.
George Carlin - Buried beneath his humor is a lot of sense. If he ran for president, I'd probably vote for him.
