Then as of this moment they're on double secret probation.

About Me

Ugh. I dread describing myself. I never know how much to reveal in a public forum like this. And what if I describe myself in a certain way that others don't see me? Does that make me less self-aware? Because I think I'm very self-aware.Anyway, I work at Siena Heights as the Assistant Dean of Students (I've learned that it's not a good idea to abbreviate the word Assistant. And frankly, the word abbreviate should not be so long). It's a wonderful job. I interact with countless students in my day - usually in a positive way. I love being around the RA Staff. They give me so much energy to do good work. I miss them in the summer. Sometimes, I'm the bad guy since I handle all the conduct on campus, so I know that numerous expletives are stated before my name on a daily basis here. It's okay. I understand. When I'm not at work, I am usually in rehearsal for the next play that I'm in. I am a part-time theatre student at Siena, and hopefully will be graduating in May 2007. Other than that, I am obsessed with the Chicago White Sox, I always seem to be working on a home project, I love karaoke, and I am attempting to learn tap.I consider myself to be an extrovert. I do well around strangers and at gatherings where I know few people. I like to think I make people feel at ease. I love to laugh and make others laugh - usually at my own expense. Making fun of myself being bald tends to break the ice.I love talking about the two things that people aren't supposed to talk about - politics and religion. I am a proud progressive liberal (no, liberal is not a bad word), and I am active giver to the Democratic Party. I do enjoy a thrilling debate with Republicans, but I always respect opposing viewpoints even though I think they are wrong. Religion has fascinated me in recent years, and working at a Catholic institution has constantly made me see the world through multiple lenses. I am reflective and analytical at times, especially when it comes to relationships. In a nutshell, I am a happy person who is looking forward to the undiscovered country known as the future.

My Interests

Theatre, musical theatre, the White Sox, politics (especially watching Meet the Press on Sundays), listening to Bob & Tom in the morning, karaoke, reading, working on my house, being with friends, getting dressed all fancy for a night on the town.

I'd like to meet:

Oh, so many people....A lot of folks put dead people on this list. I kind of like being alive, and I figure that the only way I'm going to meet dead people is if I'm dead myself, and I'm just not ready for that yet. I'll stick to people who are alive.Politics: (D) Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Jimmy Carter, Barack Obama, John Murtha, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Howard Dean, Al Franken, Michael Moore. (R) Colin Powell, Rudy Guiliani, Bill Frist (just to see if he truly believes everything he says), and I wouldn't mind meeting the President - for the same reason I want to meet Frist.Acting: Kevin Spacey, Harrison Ford, Gene Hackman, Johnny Depp, Jeff Daniels, Denzel Washington, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Anistion, Keira Knightly, Reese Witherspoon, Helen Hunt, Priscilla Pointer, Amy Irving (the last two people are actresses to whom I am related - I'd love to meet them and get their advice on making it in the biz).Religion: Bishop John Shelby Spong, Bishop Desmond Tutu, Pope Benedict XVI, Bishop V. Gene Robinson, Jim Wallis, Jr.Sports: Paul Konerko, Scott Podsednik, Michael Jordan, Ryne Sandberg, Lance Armstrong, Brian Urlacher.Music: Michael Buble (I was within 8 feet), Stephen Page from the Barenaked Ladies (I met the other four, but not him), Barry Manilow (yes, I'll admit it), Don Henley, Billy Joel.Myspace: Anyone who'd like to chat.

Music:

Barenaked Ladies, Keane, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, The Who, Barry Manilow, Michael Buble, Josh Groban, Chicago, The Moody Blues, ABBA, Boston, Styx, Billy Joel, Elton John, John Mellencamp, Matchbox 20, Don Henley, Tori Amos, The Beatles, Little River Band, and Sir Toby & the Lighter People (especially their smash album entitled "Uncivil Rule.")

Movies:

Remember the Titans, Field of Dreams, Sneakers, Goonies, Real Genius, Crash, Glory Road, Oceans 11, Spy Game, Batman Begins

Television:

Friends, Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Law & Order, CSI, Will & Grace, Cheers, Baseball Tonight.

Books:

Anything by Al Franken, anything by Mitch Albom, all the Harry Potter books, any play - Neil Simon especially, anything Shakespeare, inspirational leadership books, and last but not least - The Catcher in the Rye.

Heroes:

Mostly my father and grandfather because of their ability to get along with people and to see humor in most aspects of their lives
