Sickpig was formed in 2002, 7 guys from Manila decided to fuse several members of two bands that have completely different music. The new band evolved from a simple and average to a more serious, matured and louder band, thus it was the birth of Sickpig. Now with only 6 members, the band applies every knowledge and support obtained from different persons they knew to help them shape their sound. The band plays a fusion of hardcore, metal, and screamo that surely satisfied their hunger for musicality. Bands like Ill nino, The Deftones, Killswitch Engage and local artists like Cheese, Chicosci and Urbandub influenced the band but of course each member has a different favorite. Sickpig also enjoys listening and playing with the bands they meet at gigs, such as Tether, Faultline, Banana Spaceship, far fly mourning(muddleheadz), Lost Threads, Maxijacks, imbuenokudos, and more..
