I'm short. I'm half Italian, half European Mutt (British, French, Slovak, Polish, Dutch...). I have brown eyes. I also have brown hair when I let it be. My favorite sporting teams are the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cleveland Indians, the Syracuse Orangemen and Notre Dame's Fighting Irish. I brake for squirrels and sing in the shower. HIDDEN TALENT ALERT!! You know how Axel Rose dances to "Sweet Child of Mine"? I can dance just like that. Don't hate, participate. I make a living forecasting weather for national and international clients. In the fall I'm hoping to head back to college on a part-time basis to pursue a Masters of Science in Teaching, specializing in Earth Science. This is when all of the bad karma I generated in my high school Earth Science class will come back around. I'm not really a swinger, they just didn't have a relationship term that I felt was fitting, such as "Uncertain" or "Check back with me in a few weeks" or "None of the above". It's a rocky time, but I know regardless of how things ultimately turn out, I'll be a better person for it. I'm very close with my family and cherish all of my frienships with all of my heart. I also have a bird, fondly named Swoop (Fly Eagles Fly!) who makes sure that I don't sleep past 9am and he also sings while I am in the shower.
My favorite summer-time activities include: hiking, spending the day at Lake Minnewaska or Vanderbilt Mansion, BBQs, running, baseball, shooting hoops, wine tasting, camping, mini-golfing, sitting out on the porch, hanging out on a beach or near a swimming pool, umbrella drinks, and other acts of tom foolery.
IF LIFE HANDS YOU LIMES, MAKE MARGARITAS!

My Life List:
Become a high school earth science teacher
Go zip-lining
Thru-hike the Finger Lakes Trail (all 500+ miles of it!)
Visit Italy/Spain/Portugal
Get a dog named Duke and tell him all of my secret recipes
Volunteer somewhere on a regular basis
Go tornado chasing and/or hurricane hunting
Take ballroom/swing dance classes
Hike Mount Washington
Hike down the Grand Canyon

Music:

I dig 80s, classic rock, alternative and folky kind of stuff. My car radio is usually set to WPDH. My favorite bands include: Ryan Adams, Beastie Boys, STP, Nirvana, Doors, Chevelle, 3 Days Grace, Garbage, Poe, Filter, No Doubt (before they sold out), DMB (before he sold out), Smashing Pumpkins, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Chicago, CSNY and the Beatles

Movies:

Invincible, Tombstone, Napolean Dynamite, Office Space, Butterfly Effect,Remember the Titans and Pirates of the Carribean (yum)

I'll also admit, with some hesitation, that I am completely, and strangely, addicted to Lifetime movies. If it's a rainy Sunday, and it's not football season, you can find me watching Lifetime

Television:

The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, South Park, Family Guy, Judge Judy, Dog the Bounty Hunter, Brothers and Sisters, Grey's Anatomy, October Road, Ugly Betty, Animal Planet, and Forensic Files (although I've banned myself from watching that show before bed)

Books:

To Kill A Mockingbird is one of my all-time favorites, along with Where the Red Fern Grows, but I always cry at the end of that book. I like anything that is kind of Forensic File-ish. Occasionally, I'll pick up a box of chocolates and a trashy romance novel

Heroes:

Turkey, with lettuce, tomato, mayo, olives, pickles and provolone cheese

Good morning Sunshine

After a deep sleep, lasting 10 hours, I woke up to the "cockle-doodle-do" of my cell phone alarm clock. Is it really 8am already?! Ugh. I tried snoozing until 8:15, but Swoop must have a thing for roo...

He was a good bird, he was a pretty bird...

Captain Jack Sparrow, one of my parakeets, died suddenly on Monday. It was pretty traumatic for me, and any one who knows me knows how sensitive I am to animals. For most, a bird is just a bird, but t...

Don't take me too seriously

Lately, I have found myself in quite an interesting phase. I feel almost adolescent. It's a time of change, that is for sure, so perhaps what I am going through mirrors a growth similar to that s...

New Additions to My Little Apartment Family

After having a stellar lunch at Ruby Tuesdays, it came to me that I really needed to get a bird. Ed, being the type that makes whatever I say happen, took me directly to Petco (where the pet...
