Me and Dee Signifies the 50/50 publishing split of the writer and composer. Since i write and produce. I'm always gonna be one or the other. If not both. Me is me of course. And Dee is me too. I will be collaberating with lots of artists and talented ppl. My name will always be represented one way or another.I'm a Producer, Engineer, writer, vocalist. I've been through the blood sweat and tears, as have many before me in the industry. Still struggling to make my mark. To which i must add "I will never give up!!!"Started out playing drums at the age of 10. Played for all of my secondary school bands. Big Jazz band, Contemporary Jazz band, Steel Band. Even the teacher's Rock n Roll band. Nothing would move in the music department unless i was drumming. I was part of an all schools song competition held by MCPS on December 22nd 1989( Oh yes i remember it well lol). The finals were held in Cinderella Rockafellas night club(no longer open). We won. I was always good with poetry. Started rapping at 16. Singing voice isn't top notch. But i can sing well enough to put down the foundations of a song.Became a DJ on a local Pirate radio station(Sky FM) on December 14th 1993. As you can see i'm good with dates ;0) lol. Stayed there until 1999. In between i started my quest for knowledge in music production and the business side of things. I don't like rushing into things(anymore). So i believe the best knowledge is practical knowledge. I took two courses on "The overview of the music Business" and "How to set up and run a label". In business they say that if mistakes are going to be made. It's best done on someone else's time and money. Whether you're making or observing the mistakes. So armed with my new found and replenished knowledge of the industry i searched for practical roles in as many different music related roles as possible. Started off with;1) Job in a night club as a promotions assistant2) Street Team Coordinator for Gemtoy Records(Former home of Underground rapper Malarchi).3) Consultant for Promotions & marketing for Street Dreams Ent.4) In house Producer / Engineer at Media House in Studio 1Engineered for Freddie Kruga, Juxi D, The Ikonz, Boyz n da Hood(Former group of Durty Goods), and more.5) Assistant Engineer for The Woos Music Group(who have worked with, Tragedy Khadafi, Cormega, Ja Rule, Mobb Deep, Milkbone(former adversary to Eminem), also has releases on Death Row records. While i was there i engineered for various artists and writers sent by BMG. Also other artists including, MC Flawless(Big Brovaz), Kelle Bryan(Eternal), Karl Macintosh of our very own neo-soul innovaters.. Loose Ends.6) Office manager / Freelance Producer / No.2 engineer for Street Dreams Ent. @ Roundhouse studios. There i engineered sessions for Mike GLC, Pariz 1, Lady Fury, YBM feat. Pariz 1 - We Stand tall(Vocal production / engineering). Produced a track for Pariz 1 - It's real(listed in my tracks on my page).
