My Interests

Music:

Basement Jaxx, Aphex Twin, Benny Benassi, Daft Punk, Old School Prodigy, Boards of Canada, Massive Attack, Beastie Boys, Smashing Pumpkins, The Beatles, My Bloody Valentine, Poe, Old Fiona Apple (back when she disliked everything, and not just herself and other men), Frank Zappa, Paul Oakenfold, SCOOTER!, System of a Down, Air, Hendrix, The Who, Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers, Fleetwood Mac, Radiohead, Jefferson Airplane, The Strangers, The Animals, Chainsaw Kittens, Future Sound of London, atb, the faint, the cure, beck, the cranberries, nin, nirvana, weezer (old), red hot chili peppers (old), bjork, incubus, some brighteyes, louie armstrong, sinatra, yoya ma, stone temple pilots (only when Scott was on drugs), kylie monogue, a few black eyed peas songs, john digweed, ludacris, Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, Velvet Underground, Elliott Smith..... and a whole bunch more that I can't think of right now....

Television:

Survivor, The Simpsons, Arrested Development, CSI, CSI:NY, CSI:Miami, Furtuama, Ren & Stimpy, Kids in the Hall, SNL, Alias (a guilty pleasure), those nanny reality shows, Extreme Home Makeover, local news and the occasional PBS Show that catches my eye. We don't have cable, so it just depends on what time I have and what comes in clear with the ol' rabbit ears.

Books:

I don't really get a chance to sit down and read all that much, but the last book that I read was 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell. It changed my life so it's tough to really find something else to like, but I'm currently studying: Mind Manipulation: Ancient and Modern Ninja Techniques by Haha Lung.It rules

Heroes:

Heroes are tough for me. These are the people that I think have made society better... I would tip my hat to in public and mourn when they die, but calling them heroes is just a little cheap...Organ, tissue and bone donors, war veterans, fire fighters, police officers (not mall security or rent-a-cops), paramedics, the occasional doctor, nurse or surgeon... specifically the Labor and Delivery nurses, doctors and specialists at UNMC, Peter Jennings (I really like him, but hero would be a bit of an exaggeration), single mothers/fathers who are not on welfare, teachers who are passionate about their subject to the point of inspiration, the Dali Lama
