BOGART!

a more sincere form of rocking.

About Me

Since their 2005 inception, BOGART! have embarked on a three week Canadian tour, nailed a slot on the Vans Warped Tour two years in a row, partnered with Calgary based Meter Records , appeared on the cover of Beatroute magazine, and peaked at number 2, spending 5 weeks on the top 30 chart of local radio CJSW with their debut record "In A Post Oil World, There Is No High Octane, But For Now We Are...", and are continuing to top charts across Canada to date.
They've opened for the Bellrays, SNFU, D.O.A., the Suicide Girls Live Burlesque Tour, and the final show of Canadian punk mainstay Belvedere. They've sold out multiple shows in Alberta and British Columbia, and have gained a noteworthy following with help from favorable press across western Canada.
BOGART! is currently looking ahead to a steady Western Canadian touring schedule, writing their next album, and the eventual completion of their first music video. Get ready for this hard working, hard rocking unit to be coming to a town near you.

Sounds Like: "With super charged female-fronted punk rock sure to start a mosh pit, this debut is an honest, brutal and sexy record built on minimum wage and down and dirty touring. Check these kids out as soon as you can."
-rick reid beatroute magazine dec/06
"...there are few better ways to reaffirm the glamorous decline of western civilization than to catch this local band high-kicking their way through a live set..."
-mike pathos of beatroute magazine
"Whoo, sirs and madam!
You do indeed play with balls
Up against said wall"
-haiku quick spin by 'whitey & tb player' of vue weekly magazine
"fast, explosive rock n' roll that gleefully hopscotches over the line between sexy and sleazy. Fans of the Bellrays and the late, great, Vagiants take note."
-therese lanz of the nerve magazine
"Co-front Miesha Louie belts out a Debbie Harry-esque vocal attack thats sure to sate your inner punk child."
-blog@calgary
"Hard working troopers...Bogart are another band determined to show us that rock 'n' roll is alive and kicking in Cowtown"
-trevor morelli of chart attack
"With more chops than a butcher shop, more drive than a golf pro, and a catchy, bullshit-free punk sound, BOGART! have given the Calgary scene a much-needed punch to the gut."
-jesse locke of the reflector
"Bogart used the large stage to their advantage, jumping all over the place while their stunning vocalist Miesha unleashed her powerful voice that had the sass of the Lunachicks and the style of Pretty Girls Make Graves."
-glenn alderson of beatroute magazine
"In the great tradition of Calgary garage punk bands, Bogart! could well go the distance with riffs for miles and varied arrangements that make sure that this isn't one of those punk albums where all the songs sound alike..."
-mike pathos of beatroute magazine
