Violet Heartbreak as often been described as something out of a dream. With its mournful lyrics and haunting melodies, Violet Heartbreak explores the depths of love, loss and addiction. Formed by Singer/Songwriter Trevor Gertonson in early 2004, Violet Heartbreaks music has already made its way into two independent features and been covered by numerous independent bands. Born in Minneapolis Minnesota, Trevor Gertonson found an early interest in music and began playing the cello at the early age of eight. Eventually, his love for more rock-oriented instruments came into play and he switched to guitar at age sixteen. Instead of playing other artists music he started writing his own music and within a few months formed the band Burning Souls. After three years and four records, Trevor left the band to go to college and study music production. During this time he formed the band Another Hole whos short span gained them some recognition and an opening spot for Bella Morte, which ended up being their CD release party as well as their farewell show. After graduating college, Trevor moved to Long Beach California where he worked on and off on various projects for a little over a year. With writers block taking hold for the next few years Trevor began playing in other peoples projects but realized that just wasnt for him. Now a solo artist, Violet Heartbreak plans on finishing his debut album in early 2006 with plans for a tour to follow.

1. How would you describe the band if you were a pressman or an editor?
if i were to fall in love or leave my signficant other, i would use this bands music
2. Why did you choose your name?
i chose the name while watching charlie and the chocolate factory and it reminded me of the nine inch nails song a violet fluid and the heartbreak comes from the tattoo on my wrist and that the music comes from heartbreak, if i could maintain a relationship, i wouldn't have as much to write about. my friends actually joke about how many relationships i have had during some of the previous recordings
3. What type of music do you play?
i like to think of it as alternative, it is different than anything that is out right now. i believe that what i do is mellow enough for softer crowds and heavy enough for metal fans. there is something for everyone despite your age or musical preference.
4. How long have you been together?
Technically three years

mid march or early april of 2006
7. What is your favorite song to perform and Why?
a song called glass, becuase by the end of it i have destroyed everyting around me, i can't see through all the tears and know that i have made a diference
8. Who are the best bands you preformed with?
Anti-Sanity, Bella Morte, Suidice and Feast of Snakes
9. Where are you planning for your next shows?
i would like to do a small us tour, hit canada and then really tour europe on some festivals and get this name out.

to anyone that llistens and enjoys my music i do this for you and keep believing, the music will only get better and i am always here for you, we are violet heartbreak, i might write it, but we become, i send my love. and thank you!!
