I am here for Friends

About Me

I am who I am. If you know me you know that is true. I don't think there are any out there that compare. Not to say I am better than anyone cause that isn't true. It's just that of all the words or phrases used to describe me, "Random", "Odd Bird", and "Different" seem to fit the best. I like it that way. Makes me who I am. Some get a tattoo, some piercings, but me, not necessary...I will stand out in a crowd just by being me...well, that and the fact that I am red/green colorblind and can't dress myself in anything but earth tones to save my life. I find that life is an interesting thing. But I truly believe it is overpriced. I guess that is a good thing since every activity I choose to do in my spare time involves me almost killing myself. But hey, I've only almost died three times, been stabbed, shot, and nearly broke my back (And those aren't the three times). Ahhh, memories...If I had my choice, I would be outside over in. Watching a sunset instead of the TV or kayaking instead of veging out on the couch. Love to travel!!! Gotta fill that passport up...I stay up way too late screwing around on my computer and rambling on about myself. I get incoherent when I am overtired............I am always overtired..........

My Interests

Kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, swimming, jetski, motorcycles, movies, dinner, a good night out, wine, friends, animals, music, poker, Beer Pong, Hummus, Mmmm the kind with the roasted red peppers on top...Mmmmm

I'd like to meet:

The person in charge of the computer that stores my credit card debt information.

Music:

I tend to like many different kinds of music. The one constant however is that the band is talented. Much of the music I listen to everyday is a little more on the obscure side of rock. Canadian bands and bands no one has seemed to have heard of. I also enjoy alternative country, punk, swing, oldies (Gotta love Elvis and the Beatles), and classic rock.

Movies:

Love going to the theater for the good ones. Others, I will wait to see at home. Recently been enjoying movies with subtitles. The Lives of Others and Pan's Labrynth are some good examples. Highly recommend! My favorites are hard to list, but to give a brief list of examples...LOTR, Spaceballs, Princess Bride, Monty Python, Fight Club...Ahhhhh, classics...

Television:

I don't really watch much TV. If I am eating dinner or in for the night, I sometimes turn it on and see if the Simpsons is on or Law and Order. Otherwise, my TV is pretty much used solely for movies. I didn't even bother to hook the surround sound up to the TV, just the DVD player.

Books:

Unfortunately, I don't seem to read a lot of books. I have recently finished Lullaby, by Chuck P (I can't pronounce his name much less spell it). Also enjoyed Tolkien and some Steven King. I think what I really need is someone to introduce me to some good authors and see where that goes.

Heroes:

I guess this would have to be my cat, Sebastian. He is such a little scrapper and always seems to go back for more. Fox, raccoon, skunk (twice, ugh), and other cats are all fair game to him. He is always up for a challenge and never backs down. I don't always like the final outcomes of his overnight bouts, but he is living his life on his own terms, and all he needs is a bowl of water and a dish of food to do it.

Our Greatest Fears

Sometimes I wonder whether it's me or everyone else that has things messed up.  Either way, the world seems to be seen in a variety of ways.  For example, if you look around today, people do...

Ok, so I joined this CNY Beer Pong League not too long ago and thought to myself, "This might be fun, I used to play that in college."  I have to say, what a great decision it was.  The peop...
