(Based on "Time of Day" & "Disaster")
Here we have a Wolverhampton based 4 piece with considerable talent and considerable promise.
Opener ’Time Of Day’ is a good track, with impressive beats and driving guitar licks. It’s with ’Disaster’ that they find their feet though, with more of a funky, albeit muted beat leading into heavy guitar and drum play. The vocals are good, and the overall feel of the song is impressive.
With a little fine tuning and gigging they’ll mature, settle as a band (having been through a few vocalists in their time) and come up with some great stuff i’m sure. Ones to watch.

Musically it’s a refreshingly stripped down indie-rock sound; simple, effective riffs, understated beats, sharp solos and Andy’s distinctive vocal all coming together perfectly for an intelligent, raw noise that’s contemporary and uniquely compelling.
It’s the quality of their material where the band really shines; memorable, punchy tracks packed full of ideas, they manage to be both accessible and simple, yet with some real depth.

(Based on "I Can’t Believe", "Crazy", & "In a Nightmare")
Paradoxic are a bunch of enthusiastic young indie bucks from Wolverhampton. Taking on a review, at this early stage is also a bold start, but shows an encouraging confidence. The band give a reasonable account of themselves with tracks like ’Crazy’ an uptempo catchy romp and the bouncy and very Arctic Monkeys influenced (Paradoxic Addition: ANDY DISAGREES), ’I can’t believe’. At this stage of their young career they’ve got the band up on wheels.
The songs are quite memorable, energetically played and pretty well fronted by the attention holding vocals of singer Andy (whose sound sits somewhere between Greenday’s Billie Joe and and Placebo’s Brian Molko).
As young bands go, Paradoxic have a good platform and the time to make cool, energetic indie-pop tunes. Despite the current tracks getting a wee bit ’samey’ after three songs, its a strong enough start.
