Like I mentioned before, I'm a huge comic book geek. So I spend a lot of time looking for artwork, and memoribelia. I also like "real" art, so I spend a lot of time at the museaum. probably the best place to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon in all of Manhatten.
Myspace LayoutsSince I spend a lot of time on the train, I do a lot of reading. I also enjoy movies. good ones as well as the bad.
Manhatten has some fine bars, (as well as dives) and I intend to visit as many as I can. I am a partaker in fine beer ( budweiser will just not do) so I try to find places that either brew their own, or feature micro brews. Imagine a wine snob, but with beer, and that's me.
Whenever I get the chance, I love to get on a horse and go riding. Western, not that english stuff..that is for peole who are not me. I'm a cowboy at heart.
. So, I'm a busy person. Thats ok though, because the one thing In life I can't stand is being bored.
interesting people who don't piss me off .
Music is life. I say that all the time. You have to have music in your life, and you have to have a wide variety of music. I hate when people say " I hate that" when refering to any style or Genre of music. Anything from Classical, to Metal, to country, love music in all forms. I can say that my favorite bands and performers include Aerosmith ( seen them 11 times and counting) Social Distortion, Johnny Cash and a whole lot more . I don't have enough space to talk about it. I also love to catch up on some unsigned acts, you see a lot of them in the city, and more often then not, I'll either have a friend, or a friend of a friend that is playing somewhere in some bar.. the inde scene is great. 13th Alibi, you don't know them yet, but you will. A couple of great places to catch acts are Kennys' Castaway and The Bitter End in the Village.
Wayyyyy to many to list here. I love to watch film and actors. I can say that my favorite actor is John Cussack, one of the best ways to spend a evening is just sitting back and watching a old classic movie. A lot of local theartres show one classic film a month , and that's a cool way to appreciate a film. I don't go to the movies that often, just because of lack of time and they are just so damn expensive now. If I have a day off in the middle of the week, and I have a few hours to kill, I love to go see a movie.
Pretty much I don't get to watch TV with my schedule. I Tivo Smallville every week. and I do catch damn near all the Yankee games. Since I spend most nights at the bar (working not drinking) I watch a lot of sports.
Like I said before, I do a lot of reading on the train, some of my favorite books include, Angels & Demons, ( totally blew Divinci code away) Empire Falls, and High Fidelity. ( much better then the movie) I tend to read fiction, but I also love historical novels about old time New York, I also really like to read about old time New York Baseball, from the 30's through the early 60's
Anyone who gets up in the morning and goes to work is pretty damn heroic in my opinion.
