I am here for Friends

About Me

"Money's all broke, and food's going hungry. If it wasn't for disappointment, I wouldn't have any appointments. Avalanche or roadblock I was a snowball in hell."
They Might Be Giants-"Snowball in Hell"

In a minute there is time/ For visions and revisions which a minute will reverse.
-TS Eliot

"...if you are idle, be not solitary; if you are solitary, be not idle."
-Samuel Johnson

The Things I Love listy goodness: My friends, my family, words, coffee, large bodies of water, pirates, books, music, comics, stones, ink, coffee, oddities and ephemera, films, wit, cleverness (but not so much the smart-assitude), laughing, making jewelry, "Eureka!" moments, good coffee, finely-tuned sarcasm, and other stuff that shall for now remain a mystery... (did I mention I like coffee?)

'What will your obituary say?' at QuizGalaxy.com

Oh, and I love the punching kitty Kuryakin sent me. Sue me, it's cute.

My Interests

Books, music, film. Novel twists on old yarns. Making jewelry. Research, because it's just like hunting, but without the shooting. (At least when done correctly.) My friends, without whom I would have no one to inflict my half-baked ideas and crackpot theories on... You know, stuff. Assemblage and altered objects. As Elise says, I've "gone banana sandwich".

I'd like to meet:

Phillip K. Dick and J.D. Salinger. At a masquerade ball that is being thrown by Atlanteans on a secret island in the Bermuda Triangle .
And kittens.
A circa 'Being There' time travelling Peter Sellers.
Anyone who can make me laugh AND make me think.
You.
Your alter-ego.
