| View | Add Favorite Myspace BackgroundsIn the simplest of terms, in the most convenient of definitions: I don't like writing about myself but love writing * My parents are my idols, my brothers are perfectly flawed * I live in Astoria * Work at a Media agency downtown * My friends are extensions of my family * I love the Mets * I get free chocolate * I really do like just about every type of music * I remember everything * The summer of 1995 was the best of my life (just for you guys!!) * I hate hotel rooms * I love pizza * Can't stand onions * Hate it when people lose themselves for someone else * Really great at giving advice but horrible at following my own * Don't believe in coincidences, things happen for a reason * Love being Irish, some call it my obsession * I wish that I had more family around me * But that is where my friends come into play * I love planning parties, get togethers, anything that will bring people together * I am actually really shy * I am a walking encyclopedia for song lyrics * Also for cheesy 80s movies * I am afraid of heights * I cry over commercials sometimes * White wine makes me sick (thanks Robin) * I go overboard * I still laugh at the Whammy on Press Your Luck * College was awesome but I would do it over again * I miss being a kid * I hate it when people think they know me but am pleasantly surprised when they do * I think I know more sign language than Spanish * I love it when you get a look from across the room and the two of you are the only people that knows what it means * I learned how to play the guitar because of the Magic Garden * I didn't go to kindergarten * I am all about keeping traditions * I still send out real cards and letters * I love being surprised * Hate being disappointed * I have become my mother's daughter * I hate cheap people * I am stubborn * I love my friend's kids * I give the best hugs * And I never let 'em see me sweat * Blue Fireworks myspace layout After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul and you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't always mean security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises and you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes ahead with the grace of woman, not the grief of a child and you learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans and futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight. After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much so you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. My Interests

Baseball (LETS GO METS). Theater even though I haven't been on stage in years. My friend's kids (I get to give them back!!!). Going to the movies and eating movie theater popcorn. Traveling, making sure I take at least one big trip a year. Learning about Ireland. Pretending to be good at arts and crafts. Taking pictures. Volunteering - specifically with kids (check out nativitymission.com). Getting my friends together. Getting dressed up to go out. Not getting dressed up and sitting on the couch. ..

My aunt Evelyn since everyone says that I am so much like her. Maybe Colin Farrell for selfish reasons.

I live for Law & Order marathons, have become obsessed with Grey's Anatomy, 30 Rock makes me cry with laughter, and admit to getting caught up in MTV and the mindless entertainment they provide.

Books:

To Kill a Mockingbird is the best book ever written. A Seperate Peace, The Catcher in the Rye, Brave New World, The Cask of Amontillado (random I know but anything Poe), Great Expectations. And of recent years Harry Potter and Wicked.I still hate Animal Farm.Come on, I was an English major, I have opinions on this stuff
