About Me

I am AfroMunkee, I prowl the streets of HuntsVegas looking for fun and adventure, and when I don't find either of those I consume massive amounts of alcohol to compensate.

My Interests

It would seem that all my interests revolve around something that can potentially consume a large quanity of money that I don't have. I can't have an interest in something like, collecting rocks or lima beans that are shaped like the heads of former presidents. No, my interests have to involve things such as computers and music. Music wouldn't be so bad if my interest was just listening to music, but no I have to complicate things and want to play music, which entails having the proper equipment...we all know where I am going with this. Right now my major interest is my band, Bytch Water. I still like computers, I just can't afford to be interested in them right now.

I'd like to meet:

I'd like to meet more open-minded people like myself that enjoy having a wonderful time and don't mind being stupid. The more of said people that are single and female the better.

Music:

My taste in music has been described as ecclectic by some. Really and truly I like all types of music with possibly the exception of Country and Emo, and even then there are some songs that I still find enjoyable. Lately most of my interest has been focused in on punk, which is understable considering the company I currently keep and the fact I am in, for lack of a better description, a punk band. And now some random band names and song titles for your enjoyment: Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Left-Rights, NOFX, Black Eyed Peas, The Legendary Shackshakers, Bytch Water, The Vandals, The Network, Berlin, Green Day, Devo, TSOL, Babes in Toyland, They Might Be Giants, MC Chris, and The B52's.

Movies:

You know, as of this moment I can't remember the last movie I watched, and that is very sad. I think it might have been The Neverending Story a few weeks back when my roommate was watching it, but I'm not entirely sure. I used to watch movies all the time, but lately I haven't had the patience or energy to actually sit through a feature length movie. I'm thinking possibly I have adult ADD which is at the very root of my inability to enjoy the latest fine cinemagraphic titles. Or perhaps it is because most movies coming out suck. At anyrate, some of my favorite movies are: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Pink Flamingos, and Office Space.

Television:

Well, due to financial reasons I am currently without the joy that is known as cable television. When I did have it though I thoroughly enjoyed watching Comedy Central and the Cartoon Network, particularly adult swim. My favorite show on television by far is Aqua Teen Hunger Force, followed by Family Guy as a close second. Other shows I enjoy include MadTV, Futurama, The Simpsons, and The Brak Show.

Books:

Lately I haven't had very much opportunity to read. My free time has been spent consuming alcohol to wash the troubles of the day away, and once one has gotten oneself heavily inebriated, reading becomes one of those things that is for the most part impossible. Regardless, I have done some recreational reading in the past, and for the most part I enjoy reading Science Fiction novels. "Snow Crash" and "The Diamond Age", both by Neal Stephenson, are possibly my two favorite books. I also enjoyed "Blood Music" and "Eon" by Greg Bear, "Ringworld" by Larry Niven, and "The Uplift Wars" by David Brin.

Out of touch

This past Friday I went to my local AT&T wireless store and bought myself an iPhone. Before everyone starts jumping up and down about how much AT&T sucks, I am already quite aware of that but the fac...
