For over 6 years rebellion Chicana has been opening for artist such as: Intocable, Beto Y Sus Canarios, Limite, tigers Del Norte, Ramon Ayala and many more. Rebelion Chicana is the new sensation for this coming century. Rebelion Chicana was started by two brothers Amando (14) and Lucas (12). These two brothers started off with a dream that seems to start becoming a reality. It all began in the year 2000. When these two bothers started incorporating other family members to begin what has now become Rebelion Chicana. The group is composed of 3 brothers, sister, and 2 cousins. Rocio (16) became the percussionist, Amando (14) became the drummer, Lucas (12) played the keyboards and vocalist, Mario (11) the bassist and vocalist, David (10) the guitarist. While these young musicians were laughed at and ignored they never quit. They continued to practice and play at gigs, with the support of their parents. They continued to follow their heart and recorded their first album “Te Burlasteâ€. This album contained original songs and the album was released independently. The second album was soon recorded “Rebelion Chicana vol. 2, soon after that Rebelion Chicana was signed with New Records. Becoming a part of this record company gave Rebelion Chicana the opportunity to cross over borders. Rebelion Chicana toured the country of Mexico. They visited states like Nuevo Leon, Celaya, Guadalajara, Michoacan, Toluca, D.F and many more. While in Mexico, They got the opportunity to participate along with the governor’s wife of Toluca, in collecting money for the Mexican Red Cross. Rebelion Chicana participated in the nationwide Immigrant Walk as well as many other community events in their hometown of Homestead, Fl. Although 4 of the 6 members of the group are born citizens their parents have incorporated the Mexican culture therefore, they all feel 100% Mexican. The love for the music that these kids have, has always kept them motivated to push for more. Now they have recently signed with Nasty Boy Records and are getting ready to release their 3rd album titled “Quiero Decirte …..â€which ahs featured artist such as Mc Magic of the NB Ridaz and Dj Kane, ex lead singer of Kumbia Kings. Since they were very young they have been performing every weekend, practicing everyday, attending school, and not getting much sleep, Rebelion Chicana has been gaining fans everywhere they have performed. They hope to continue winning the hearts of new fans all over the world.
