DOLEMIC: THE SULTAN OF THE SWAT
Born Taariq Simien to a family consisting of 11 brothers and sisters, The Houston native recalls "BEAT STREET" as his earliest Hip Hop recollection. Dolemic, whose name is a play off 70's blaxploitation star Dolemite (Rudy Ray Moore), possesses the same slick talking, no nonsense qualities as his B-movie predecessor, the difference being that instead of a cinema outlet, Dolemic channels that energy through his musical ventures.
Often regarded as the co-founder of The SWAT Product, Dolemic used his education in the streets to provide the spark that would ultimately lead to the forming of Houston's future of Hip Hop. Friends with Latium/Universal recording artist ROB G since youth, the duo would spend countless hours in a makeshift studio culminating their craft. As the years passed, Dolemic would eventually teach himself the tricks of the engineering trade and develop a pension for production and on the spot hook writing.
With a slew of mixtape projects under his belt and a permanent spot as ROB G's hypeman, the sky is the limit for Dolemic. He is currently wrapping up his solo mixtape entitled "STREET SYMPHONY" and still manages to hold down the boards during SWAT recording sessions, for what else is to be expected from a Sultan other than to watch over an empire he help create.
