If I have to put up with me, everyone else should have to, too!

About Me

My name is Joel. I'm a singer/songwriter and aspiring novelist/script writer by the name of Ender Bowen (www.myspace.com/enderhq or www.enderhq.com) but I created this profile for my personal life. I recently moved down here from Upstate NY (we're talking... WAY up there eh?) and I'm looking to make new friends, see what's out there, and essentially start my life over from scratch.
I'm an honest, humble guy with a big heart, who loves to talk about anything - be it philosophy, religion, art, history, science - anything really. I consider myself somewhat of an intellectual. I love to learn and grow, I love to read, I love music and I love to write. I love to make new friends. I love to meet new people and get to know them. I have enough love to fit the world in if it wants to be there. I like going out to the bars - be it a relaxing place no one goes or a really partying club depending on my mood - I love to sit and drink wine and discuss whatever topics may come up, but I also love to go out and party if I get the chance. I also can't resist the chance to get dressed up and go out on the town, or have a nice dinner with someone special or with friends. I also LOVE to dance!
I love living life and experiencing what new things come along, but I also learn from mistakes and allow myself to grow. I keep the people I care about close. I have an incredibly random sense of humor and I don't mind embarrassing myself in order to bring a smile to someone's face, even if I don't particularly know them, if I see that that's what they need. I live to make others happy, because that makes ME happy, and I hope one day to be able to do that for someone special.
There's really a whole lot more about me but I have a feeling that if I keep going, MySpace will crash. :) Anyway, you can find me on AIM, YahooIM, or MSN as Lemonymous if you so choose.

Music, of almost any kind. Especially U2, the Smashing Pumpkins, the Killers and others. Books - Orson Scott Card, Michael Crichton, CS Lewis, Oz, history, philosophy, religion, anything I can get my hands on that challenges my mind. I love comic books - especially Transformers. I love TV shows like Farscape, Star Trek, 24, The OC, Family Guy and nearly anything else on adult swim. I think South Park is BRILLIANT. I love anything with random humor, including Dane Cook's stand up comedy. I love movies, dramatic, action, romantic, anything. I love working on my own music, and I love writing my own stories and works. This doesn't even skim the surface.

I'd like to meet:

I love to make new friends and get to know them. Not only does it help me to learn about the world, and the people that are in it, but it also helps me learn about myself, and what makes me tick.
Beyond that, I just like to meet and mingle and interact with as many people as I can. I don't judge people of any type, as long as they don't judge me unreasonably.
Actual people dead or alive I'd like to meet - Bono, God, MLK, Michael Hutchence, Orson Scott Card, Billy Corgan
"You see, you have to know what you want. And then when someone comes along, you're going to fall for that person regardless of most of those wants, because there's just something about that person. He or she has got this certain something that trumps it all. And so in the end, though not all those wants are fulfilled, you've found a treasure no one else knows about and that is the beauty of love."
