Durty Red, born Keisha Raye, has been performing most of her life. Her comedic but keep it real attitude has led her into becoming a natural entertainer. Although she has had a love for music her entire life, being inspired by numerous hip hop artist, who she says, keeps it real. It was not until she suffered an accident that had her bed ridden that she decided to put her thoughts down on paper.Her first single Dear Nigga, about an ex-boyfriend, got the attention of local producers who respected her writing abilities as well as her ability to deliver a verse with power and soul. She later released an underground mix tape entitled She Pimp which got her national recognition. Her latest single Putcha Hands On Me, is a club joint for the ladies that is making higher heights, now in regular rotation around the hottest clubs. This single is expected to cross over into radio and set the standard for this up and coming artist. Her debut album entitled Hood Groan which she titled after her independently formed entertainment, company has been reviewed as a classic. Featuring tracks ranging from dirty south to R&B and Reggae, she is flipping like no other.Durty Red states that, she simply writes because she has ish to say. Writing about real life experiences and literally painting pictures through her lyrics intrigues her. Durty Red states that, she keeps it real in her lyrics without lying and making it sound fly. This demeanor she refers to as keeping it on the durty which she always does; hence the name, Durty Red.
