Denny Diamond

Maybe the hokey pokey is what it's all about.

About Me

DENNY DIAMOND quickly distinguished himself as a professional musician and instrumentalist while performing flawless renditions of Neil Diamond classics. His sophisticated baritone voice earned high acclaim and Denny soon found himself singing into an answering machine to audition for the Dick Clark network show, "Your Big Break". Much to his surprise, Denny made the cut and his appearance on the show was one of the most viewed episodes of that series, opening doors he never dreamed of knocking on.
In fact, while indulging the audience with his Neil Diamond repertoire at a local festival, Denny’s showmanship captivated the likes of Sean Kelly, guitarist for the popular band Six Pence None the Richer. As a result of this connection, Denny now finds himself singing and performing in venues throughout the United States with respected musicians including James Digirolamo (Mindy Smith and Holly Williams), Brian Barnett, (Big & Rich, Hank Williams Jr.) Steve Arnold, (Johnny Cash) and popular recording duo Andy and Matt Thompson who have played for The Little River Band, Massacoustics, Lucky Bucks and opened for Colin Ray, Alabama, Wynona, Willie Nelson just to name a few. In addition, Denny experienced the privilege of working with Bass Player King Williams, who engineered Neil Diamond’s Tennessee Moon album and now serves as the Senior Engineer for The Grand Ole Opry.
An energetic and versatile performer, Denny’s live concert show revels in the music one of the most beloved singer/songwriters of all time, Neil Diamond. A highly respected musician, Denny recently received a personal request from Keith Urban to perform at a private party in Nashville. He is a favorite guest artist on numerous morning radio shows, appeared in entertainment segments on network news affiliates, and had the honor of opening for Christopher Cross.
Whether appearing with a full band, individually with his acoustic guitar and vocals, or The Family Jewels, (featuring Denny’s sons, Lucas and Spenser), Denny embraces his audience and incorporates a variety of music styles including Johnny Cash, Dean Martin, Roger Miller and other classics. Denny is also a talented original songwriter, and most recently penned a beautiful ballad, Sentimental Nights, which can be heard on www.myspace.com/dennydiamond
