About Me

The band formed in 1997 as two guitarists Serhat and Alen began to work together. After their first line-upgets a shape, the band had its first live performance in Feb. 24 2001 at Kemanci Rock Bar and continued performing invarious festivals and concerts. In January 2002 Northen Lights released self titled debut demo CD and later thatperformed in VI. Rock Station International Rock Festival. In April 2003, Baris as vocalist and Onur as bass guitaristjoined to band and at the end of December 2003 the band released Fire Of Hate demo EP as first part of their conceptstory. Currently the band is working on their album as second and the last part of their concept story.
Northern Lights musical style can be defined as Progressive Metal influent by ethnic (turkish) and epic story-telling elements.
As Northern Lights performed in festivals like Rock The Nations II, ProgIstanbul and Rock Istanbul III thelast big show of the band was on 26.nov.2005 in Tirgu Mures / RO, at the first edition of "MONSTERS OF TRANSYLVANIAROCKFEST 2005", beside bands as: ANVIL (Canada), PHANTOM-X (U.S.A.), IRON MASK (Belgium), TUZMADÃR (Hungary), and theromanian bands: TAINE, GOTHIC, FADING CIRCLES, iCoRy.
