reading, photography, drawing, knitting, sewing, old stuff, people who make beautiful things, people who make absolutely bizarre things, vegetarian cooking, useless knowledge espoused at inappropriate moments, other people's lives (non-fiction, memoirs, This American Life)
Jade Jaguar, Goatlamb, and J-momma. I miss you gals! If you find this, message me!
Also: Others that are interested in forming a nerdy yet humorous punk band ala DEVO or Man or Astro-man? I can play keys/bells/xylophone/stuffed frogs/other percusive instruments.
The Pogues, Flogging Molly, Gogol Bordello, The Briggs, Iron and Wine, Jawbreaker, Six Parts Seven, Rachel's, Promise Ring, No Knife, Sunny Day Real Estate, Matt Pond PA, Beach Boys, Decemberists, Dillinger Four, Dismemberment Plan, Groovie Ghoulies, Ida, Knapsack, Juno, Simon & Garfunkel, Mike Ness/Social Distortion, Starflyer 59, Strike Anywhere, Tristeza. Lots of "oldies" - everything from Zombies to motown to 40's swing/pop. My head contains a virtual catalog of oldies.
Queensryche makes me break down and weep uncontrollably. I LOVE lofi recordings of high school aged, third wave ska bands. (those last two sentences came courtesy of Matt. I can't bring myself to delete them - the comedy factor is too high).
I rarely have time to watch TV, but these are old faves: Freaks and Geeks, Aqua Teen, Sealab, Mystery Science Theater 3000 (Joel era), X-Files.
I have too many favorites to list. I tend to gravitate toward non-fiction - I like reading about things that have actually happened. If I do read fiction, it's likely to be a "classic," or something by Ray Bradbury, Truman Capote, or Toni Morrison. I love their writing styles.
