I talk alot. But sometimes I'm really quiet. Sometimes I go on and on with seemingly no point. And sometimes I get to the point often.
It's important to have many interests , but the interest that burns the hottest inside you is the one you should spend the most time with. I like making music, fixing things, helping people, and teaching people to be free. Just do something...even if it's wrong . Do SOMEthing!!!
I took the following video from my sister's back yard fountain with the effects turned on while I was shooting. A little desert wind, and slow down the tape a little and it's a little trippy. Enjoy!
As long as you split the working class and the ruling class you can always expect your nation to eventually lead to revolution. You can cry all you want and say it will never happen here, but human beings are slowly realizing that they have more power than they think. I stress SLOWLY... The richest most powerful will ALWAYS try to keep you in the dark to your condition. They will parade around with a few charities, pay a few newspapers to write favorable stories about them and the people just eat that shit up. My life is all about trying to bridge the gaps between
rich/poor black/white smart/dumb strong/weak
Which one are you? Chances are you fall into a lot more of these categories than you think you do. Even the conflicting ones.
I'd like to meet:
People who can read.
People that can make fun of themselves.
People with a quick wit.
People that can have a conversation that has absolutely NOTHING to do with your own life, or one of your friends' or family. Some gossip is harmless enough...I just choose to stay away from it
People who live and die by the truth. Some people lie about the dumbest stuff.
People who are NOT hung up on whether they know you or not...it's fucking annoying.
I like to hang out with lots of different kinds of people. Lots of different friends means lots of different opportunities to have fun.
This video makes me look pretty bad, and maybe nobody but my friends will even think it's funny but oh well.
The following list is made just for fun to include people I like, love, think are interesting or are just plain HOT.
Remember though...this is MySpace. Tell me straight up if I should remove you...maybe I will. Just read some of the comments and compare them to your own comments.
Music:
The Kottonmouth Kings . It's not about the weed, it's about the truth they spit out against the government and police. 311 is so much deeper than most people realize. If your favorite song is "Down" I fucking pity you. Sublime (a great bridge between get-your-frustration-out and lighten-up-and-feel-happy. I like bands who try to point out the ills of the world while supporting the positive vibes . So let's include Bob Marley , John Lennon , and even Bob Dylan . Most of these guys say very specific things in their lyrics about what is wrong on this earth and they will later pretend it was some kind of coincidence. Or they won't acknowledge the controversy at all. For instance the Beatles wouldn't say that Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds is about anything other than this "groovy chick they met."
And the general dump space for a lot of my other favorites: Beastie Boys, Soul Coughing, Green Day, KMFDM, Marilyn Manson, Primus, Cypress Hill, Rage Against the Machine, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, DMX, Nelly, Missy Elliot's club stuff, any combination of the Dust Bros (chemical/crystal/prodigy...etc.), Boogie Down Productions (KRS-One) Public Fucking Enemy! Old L.L. Cool J (Lisa got a big ole butt!) Fear Factory (Remanufacture only--some hardcore beats with some hardcore metal) Butthole Surfers trip me the fuck out... Seriously, listen to ElectricLarryLand while your tripping or rolling,
(yes I like)Eminem(shut up you) and Tool (If you see Third Eye Open:The String Tribute to Tool in the store, GET IT! I listen to it all the time and it still chills me to the bone, anyone who really appreciates Tool for who Tool is will LOVE this String Tribute.
There are many more, but that's just to give you an idea of the different genres I like. Unlike most people who "say" they like everything but always have their car stereo tuned to Hot Jam'n Kiss-FM...I truly listen to all this shit in no particular order. I usually only buy a CD if I am convinced that I will enjoy the whole thing. I hardly ever listen to music on the radio, you just lose the feeling that the artist put forth when he made his album. OK, I think I'm starting to sound pretentious, like I think I'm better than you. I don't think that, but the voices in my head might. Don't worry, they think they're better than me too.
Movies:
Comedy, Dramas, and Documentaries. Pretty much any movie that makes me laugh or challenges conformity, the government, and/or other social diseases:: Six Degrees of Separation, Clerks (or anything by Kevin Smith), The Anarchist's Cookbook, Interstate 60, School of Rock, Groove, Pump up the Volume, Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Killers, Twin Peaks:Fire Walk With Me, Lost Highway, The Doors, Pieces of April, Orgazmo(A Mormon? Doing Porn? You gotta see this. South Park guys), Supersize Me, Made, Super Troopers, Romper Stomper, Good Will Hunting, The Matrix(just the first one...I don't care about the special effects, just the idea that we are all trapped here in this place with these illusions put in front of us), 8 Mile, The Green Mile, Full Metal Jacket, Clockwork Orange, Crash, Memento, Magnolia, American Beauty, American Pie, Liar Liar, The Butterfly Effect, Cheech and Chong movies, Slackers (The real one from Richard Linklater), Dazed and Confused, do we have anything in common yet?You can watch this video by itself, or you can turn down the volume and play your favorite song. Comment me on your results!
Television:
The Riches...hillbillies/con artists/unique situations. I love this show. It makes me want to rent an RV and drift and grift my way across America.Another fucked up reality show is "Cheaters" where someone who suspects their loved one of cheating hires these guys who then go about documenting the infidelity and eventually bringing the "victim" to confront his/her lover WHILE they are cheating on him/her. If you like to see people at their worst, this show is for you. Adult cartoons like: The Simpsons, Futurama, King of the Hill, Family Guy, South Park and so on. If you're gonna rot your brain, you might as well go all out right? A friend just got me into SpongeBob, but it's not on at the right times usually. If you like that show you might know what I mean by "right times"I started to watch "The Riches" but I think I might discontinue that show. At first the traveller lifestyle appealed to me, but it turns out that the show isn't about that. So that shit moved down a notch or two.
Books:
What is Anarchism? by Alexander Berkman.
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, by Douglas Adams.
Most of what Stephen King writes...and Ed McBain's 87th precinct novels. The Tao of Pooh, by I don't know who...
Edward Abbey The Monkey Wrench Gang, A Fool's Progress
Heroes:
Ben Franklin (thanks for the electricity) and Thomas Jefferson. JFK and MLK Jr. plus Bob Marley and Rosa Parks. But most of all, the people in my life that taught me how to get things done and to be who I can be.
