Haikufive

Something makes the in-between it's home. Something lives in the space between the static and the screen. Someone walks between the shadow and the light. Somewhere can be found the answers, but only if the proper question is asked.Haikufive is an expression of my passions. Haikufive is a demonstration of my Zen Buddhist practice. Within Zen will not be found a soothing, comforting doctrine to nurture and sustain one through peril and suffering. Within Zen will be found a flaming sword to cut into the very heart of one's being, and therein discover the unfolding Buddha-nature within. Five is everywhere. Five is the expression of humanity. Five are the senses by means of which we experience the world around us. Five are the elements that give shape to our physical bodies. Five are the digits upon both hand and foot. Therefore, Haikufive is a statement of a yearning tempered by an understanding of my own humanity. And within that humanity shall be discovered the goal of my yearning.
