someone who has as much music as I do.
This is always a tough one. I have something like 2,000 albums stashed away, so you can say my taste is all over the place. Rock: The Cult, QOTSA, Motorhead, Dada, Orbit, Alice In Chains. 80s: Depeche Mode (even if their later stuff sucks), Bauhaus, Love & Rockets, Joy Division, New Order, Concrete Blonde, the KLF, Madonna, Jesus & Mary Chain, Duran Duran (okay, only in small doses), The Cure. Country: Hank Williams Sr., JOHNNY CASH. Goth: Sisters of Mercy, The Mission, Fields of the Nephilim. Industrial: Front 242, KMFDM, Ministry, Killing Joke, Diatribe. Okay, now we're getting to the electronic stuff. . . I got all up into rave/electronic music really heavily from 1999 until now. At first it was all goa, hard trance, and big beat, but lately it's gone more ambient. DJ stuff: Sasha, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Sandra Collins are the best. Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyk are played out. Junkie XL kicks ass. Danceable stuff: Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, Fatboy Slim, Hybrid, Moby, The Orb, Underworld, Groove Armada. Goa: Infected Mushroom, Astral Projection, Koxbox, C.O.P., Slinky Wizard, the Mutaytor, Banco de Gaia. Ambient: Brian Eno, Boards of Canada, Pete Namlook, Global Communication, Harold Budd. Other cool stuff: Massive Attack, Pink Floyd, COIL.
Peter Jackson's Rings Trilogy kicked ass. So did the original Star Wars. Epsiodes 1-3 however, came directly out of George Lucas's ass. Donnie Darko. Deep Cover. Pitch Black & Chronicles of Riddick. Angel Heart. The Night Porter. Twin Peaks. Mulholland Drive. Sex, Lies, & Videotape. SCARFACE. Keys to Tulsa. Apocalypse Now. The Godfather Trilogy. Terminator I & II (the third one blew). Manhunter. City of Ghosts. Bringing Out The Dead. Broken Vessels.
the only show I currently watch is Boston Legal. However, shows I have watched include the original Star Trek (and yes, I know all the lame trivia, thank you), Twin Peaks, OZ, and Crime Story.
Favorite Authors: Gene Wolfe, Tolkien(LOTR trilogy), Richard Schultes, Albert Hofmann, Daniel Pinchbeck (Breaking Open the Head), William Shakespeare, etc. I have an English degree, and that covers a LOT of ground, ya know??
