Madison Jay Biography“Point blank today’s market of hip-hop has been flooded with improper gimmicks and no well thought-out material. If any time was needed for a change the time is now.”Enter Madison Jay, the complete and total package of what a youthful and “talented” rap market has been seeking; powerful and motivating lyrics, a marketable look along with an understandable knowledge of today’s market at a young age. Raised in the urban community of Raleigh, NC Madison has been able, for the past five years, to establish a healthy and growing market for himself in the hip-hop community. At the age of eighteen his current catalog of music has grown since his debut in 2003 on the HeadHuntaz Volumes I and II Mixtapes. Along with his staff of highly skilled lyricists “H20” they released the well-received EP in 2004 H20…Flow Like Water featuring Benjamin Siccamore. On May 3rd, 2005 Madison released his debut solo album The Learning, which was widely acclaimed as his true introduction to the North Carolina rap scene. In early 2006, HeadHuntaz released the mixtape, Welcome To Ruff Raleigh, which allowed for them to produce a stable catalog worth of music for each artist.
