All right I guess I should go right back to the start of the A.W.T. many years before the band was even thought of. It all started with a band called Jumbo Prawn back in the day, and the songwriter of said band, Sean Womsley. He wrote a song for Jumbo Prawn called Alcoholic white Trash. We of course all loved it and sang it all the time. Well one night we were all getting hammered for a buddies stag party and we all realized that yes we were in fact all Alcoholic White Trash, and hell we were damn proud of it. So we started a little drinking team right there on the spot amidst the beer and puke and punk rock and the A.W.T. was formed. Well many years later it is still going strong and now has many members in victoria, Vancouver, Nanaimo, Florida, Prince George, and edmonton, hell we even have a member in Vietnam.Anyways back in 99 the boys in our band were all playing in different projects, Knuckles was playing bass for Drunk Tank, Gene-o and Roy were playing for the Ted Bundy Project, and I(Jay) was playing in the Bonerdogs. We all played shows together all the time and all got along pretty well too. As luck would have it all of our bands broke up at pretty much the same time and we were all looking for something new to do. Myself, and Gene-o and roy were all A.W.T. guys already, Knuckles aint the club kinda guy, so we figured what the fuck it's a cool name lets call the band Alcoholic White Trash.. and so it began. The very first song we ever wrote on our first jam was the song Alcoholic White Trash, same name as the Jumbo Prawn song but a completely different tune. To this day it is still the song we end our set with. The crowd seems to love singing along with it and hey who the fuck are we to argue with that. We still have the same lineup as day one and even through all the drunken stupid shit we have done we still manage to get along most of the time and not kick the living shit out of each other. There were a few moments years ago but we got over that crap. So ya, fucking rights, were still making music, not making any money, drinking our faces off, and playing in smelly little bars that we fucking love. If ya wanna buy our shit, or book us or any of that crap give me a shout and most probably if you've got beer, and gas money, and somewhere we can crash we'll probably be there... it's punk rock ya fuckers thats what it's about.
