About Me

You are
What Rejected Crayon Are You?

My Interests

Wandering about with no destination, window shopping, synthetic hair, slutty shoes/boots, people watching, roller derby, fishnets, bizarre conversations with drunken strangers, being out till the bars close with a good friend, or just staying in and talking, never learning to cook, eating food cooked by others, finding people who can shock me, traveling more, reading, fetish, debauchery, getting more tattoos, decorating with little money, daydreaming on the bus, latex, walking over bridges at night, a bit of sporadic partying, avoiding toxic personalities, learning photography and writing more, trying (almost) anything new, ect, ect......

I'd like to meet:

Music:

..

Peaches, Dierdre, Distillers, Martina Topley Bird, (thx Sonia!) Nikka Costa, Lords of Acid, Mimi, Women of Sodom, Jolie Holland, Ekova, Mike Paradinas, Underworld, Tom Waits, Misc. Bollywood, Bally Sagoo, Courteney Love, Beth Orton, Chemical Bros., Digweed, DJ Frankie Bones, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Pretty Girls Make Graves, Hot Hot Heat, LadyTron, Siousxie, PJ Harvey, Cocteau Twins, Goldfrapp, Fischerspooner, Air, Dance Disaster Movement, Emiliana Torrini, Bjork, Chemical Bros., Nancy Sinatra, NIN, Roberta Flack, Neil Diamond (It was not easy to admit this publically. If you willl get drunk and sing 'Shilo' with me, you are quite possibly my soul mate) Oakenfold, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Esthero, Reverand Horton Heat, of course Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash playing in a good dive bar (is this a cliche?), I like some 80's music, but I'm NOT into '80's Nights', some late 60's-70's. (Led Zeppelin, Beatles, early Rolling Stones, ect), some jazz and classical, miscellaneous surf guitar. I sold my 'Time Life Solid Gold Soul' collection when I was very poor, and I miss it terribly. I love hearing other people's REALLY awful mixed cd's, because you knowTHEY think they're really good, and it just makes the person seem more flawed and likeable to me for some reason. I'm sure mine suck as well! I love live music, from random street performances to big shows......

Movies:

Some favorites that come to mind.....The Notorious Betty Page, The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things, Half Nelson, The Devil & Daniel Johnston, New York Doll, Film Geek, TARNATION, The Cruise, Betty Blue, Anatomy of Hell, Trouble Every Day, Freaks, Born into Brothels, Sante Sangre, Requiem for a Dream, Sick: The Life and Death of Bob Flanagan Supermasochist, Harold and Maude, Sid & Nancy, Drugstore Cowboy, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, City of God, Napolean Dynamite, Party Monster, anything by John Waters, Breaking the Waves, Dancer in the Dark, a couple of the 'Where the Boys Aren't' and 'Wildfire Girls' videos, Fellini Satyricon, 8 1/2, Julien Donkey-Boy, Gummo, In My Skin, In the Realm of the Senses, Audition, Bukowski: Born into This, Crumb, Sex:The Annabel Chong Story, Pedro Almodovar movies, ... mostly independent films and bizarre or disturbing documentaries.

Television:

I would love to say I never watch TV, or am above all the crap that is out there, but I am sadly drawn to some of the worst. I will never have cable, but will be quite fascinated by YOURS!! I find old Taxi reruns oddly comforting, and I frequently have the theme from The 'Courtship of Eddie's Father' in my head.

Books:

Some favorite titles l won't part with are: Confederacy of Dunces, Maldoror, Slaughterhouse-five, The Age of Reason, Geek Love, Death on the Installment Plan, Motel Fetish, The Heart is Deceitful Above all Things, Crime and Punishment, Push, The Torture Garden, (the Octave Mirbeau one..not the LA thing) A Fine Balance, Written on the Body, Lolita, Howl..... pretty much anything by Bukowski, Baudelaire, Henry Miller, Anais Nin, James Baldwin, Rimbaud, Kafka, Bob Flanagan, Dennis Cooper, JT Leroy, ect, ect....

Heroes:

People who survive despite being dealt a crappy hand, people who try to make a difference.

I Want a Baby Hippo

I dreamed I rescued a baby hippo, and we had a chat. Nothing too philosphical....just promises that I would make sure she would be taken care of, and that I would never put her in the zoo to be gawked...

Portland must be mad......

I keep thinking about Timothy "Speed' Levitch in the documentary "The Cruise'.....the part where he talks about how New York was angry with him for a period of time. I think I get it. At least it...

A poem I like

'Bruises' These bruises are not metaphors. Their appearance means more to me than words. I take my clothes off and I put my clothes on. So on and so on. The heat becomes unbearable. And now it...
