About Me

************************************************************ ************************************************
*********************************************************** Ben will not be forgotten. He will always remain with us.People will forget what you said, People will forget what you did, But, People will never forget how you made them feel. -----------Maya Angelou---------Ben made people feel good, by his charm, wit and the ability to share of himself - through music...and humor - he even made jokes about himself. The ability to make jokes about yourself and find humor - is a sign of brilliance. "The more you drink - the better I sound..."************************************************* ..
************************************************************ ************************************************************ ************************************************************ ************************************I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)******************************** ***************** I was born in a crossfire huricane... Really, I was born and raised mostly in Atlanta, Ga. Sometimes it feels like a hurricane .I've been married too many times, but have 2 BEAUTIFUL BOYS. I've been a sheetmetal worker since 1972 and a part time muscian since 1995.Check out the band website. www.lastrideclassicrock.net.I like to ride motorcycles and smoke cigars. I like BUDWIESER. I know how to make cornbread and blackeye peas and collard greens. And it shows. I'm not afraid to say what's on my mind. A spade is a spade, unless it's a shovel... So, while I'm calling a spade a spade let me say I don't need any young girls with webcams offering up their Christmas package. I opened that present years ago... I'm not here to find a mate.I would like to find my other black sock, though... If you find it give us a shout. If you are gracious enough to allow me to be your friend, I will be just that. If you will notice, most of my friends are musicians or bands, some I grew up listening to (They are truly my friends) and , some I have just discovered...(new friends) You can find a lot of truth in music. You can find a lot of different music on myspace. It really is the universal language. ************************************************************ ************************************************These are the days now that we must savour, And we must enjoy as we can... These are the days that will last forever, You’ve got to hold them in your heart... ************************************************************ ************************************************ Sometimes the light, a horse, gallops into the room and demands you surrender. It paws the floor, snorts— and so you rise out of the low-lying cloud of the self, the half-dreaming wakefulness we call love, and into the cool air of the real.It shakes its mane impatiently, rears and kicks, its beautiful body demanding your attention, pushing its way in. Not that you're afraid, not exactly. But it shines straight into your eyes. And though the heart is small and cramped, barely large enough to suit your own wants, you retreat into a corner, make do with less. The only possibility when the world lifts its head and light pours from its back in quantities enough to drown you.******************************************************** **************************************************** You dream you hear his footsteps, coming up the drive And you wonder half awake; is my love alive?... But there in your doorway, no shadow is cast... No lingering voices, no ghosts from the past... Just a cluster of walls, and a window of pain... Collecting the heartache like droplets of rain... ************************************************************ ************************************************ Love feels no burden, thinks nothing of trouble, attempts what is above it's strength, pleads no excuse of impossibility... It is therefore able to undertake all things, and it completes many things, and warrants them to take effect, where he who does not love would faint and lie down. Love is watchful and sleeping, slumbereth not. Though weary, it is not tired; Though pressed, it is not straightened; Though alarmed, it is not confounded...*********************************************** ************************************************************ * This present tragedy will eventually turn into myth, and in the mist of that later telling the bell tolling now will be a symbol, or, at least, a sign of something long since lost. This will be another one of those loose changes, the rearrangement of hearts, just parts of old lives patched together, gathered into a dim constellation, small consolation.Look, we will say, you can almost see the outline there: her fingertips touching his, the faint fusion of two bodies breaking into light.****************************************************** ******************************************************

And ya'll are probably gettin' ready for closin' up... But I'm trying to drown my soul... I'm tired of this life on a dirt road... And everything that I love is gone... And I'm tired of hangin' on.********************************************************* *************************************************** "He lives inside of his own heart. That's an awful big place to live in." ************************************************************ ************************************************ ...and in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make... ****************************************************** /center

My Interests

I RIDE A 96 HERITAGE... I PLAY BASS IN LAST RIDE, A CLASSIC ROCK COVER BAND. THAT KEEPS ME PRETTY BUSY MOST WEEKENDS. I ALSO DO PA WORK FOR OTHER BANDS WITH MY FRIEND RICHARD E. LEE. WE CALL OUR "company" RIDE LIKE THE WIND PRODUCTIONS , IT'S GETTIN' THERE...I ALSO LIKE TO EAT. SO, I LEARNED TO COOK, EVERYTHING... I LIKE PADRON 3000 CIGARS (MADURO) AND COLD BEER(BUDWEISER). ON OCCASSION I'VE BEEN KNOWN TO HAVE A SHOT OR TWO OF TEQUILA. NO SALT, JUST LIME. I DIDN'T COME TO MYSPACE TO FIND A WOMAN. I HAD A WIFE ONCE, BUT HER HUSBAND CAME AND TOOK HER HOME. DON'T TAKE ME WRONG THOUGH, I LIKE WOMEN. ALL KINDS. HOWEVER, THERE ARE THREE THINGS THAT ARE ESSENTIAL. FIRST, SHE'S GOTTA HAVE A PULSE. SECOND AND THIRD, I LIKE FOR A WOMAN TO BE LOW MAINTAINENCE AND INDEPENDENTLY WEALTHY... SO, IF YOU'RE A WOMAN BETWEEN 35 AND 50 AND YOUR HEART'S STILL BEATING AND YOU OWN A LIQUOR STORE, A FORD F-250 DIESEL 4X4(SUPER CREW CAB)GOTTA HAVE THAT ROOM FOR MY BUDS ,A BASS BOAT AND A ROAD KING(2003 OR NEWER)AND AN ENCLOSED TRAILER, AND YOU DON'T MIND BEING ALONE ON DAYS THAT END WITH "Y", SEND PICTURES OF THE MOTORCYCLE, TRUCK AND BOAT, WE'LL TALK.....

I'd like to meet:

Who would I like to meet... Hmmmm... John Paul Jones comes to mind, because he plays the two instruments that fascinate me the most, the bass and the mandolin, not to mention about a dozen others that I really like. Bob Dylan, Willie Dixon, Oteil Burbridge, Bill Wyman, Paul McCartney, Ron Wood(Who needs Rod to sing?)Dusty Hill(less is more!!), John Entwhistle and, I'd really like to meet Roger Waters because I think He's a tormented soul and Ravi Shankar because he's spiritually free. And,Lonesome Dave, God rest his soul. I bet he's not lonesome anymore... I suppose I could go on forever, but I think you kinda' get the picture. I guess you could say these people inspire me the most. In just the few I mentioned here there is so much heart and soul and talent, but most of all life and a love for what they have done or might do in the future...And last but certainly not least,I know I already mentioned Paul McCartney, but I'd like to have met THE BEATLES as THE BEATLES.Even when they were off, They were on! The music always came first!!! Without the Fab 4 I'm not sure that music as we know it today, would have survived. "OMNIA VINCIT AMOR".....

free player from mysplayer.comALL GENRES OF MUSIC ARE SPECIAL TO ME. BUT, THE BLUES, WELL THEY'RE THE BLUES MAN!! I HAVEN'T LIVED THEM, BUT I CAN IDENTIFY!! AND BLUEGRASS. A BAND WITHOUT DRUMS. BIG DOUBLE BASS HOLDIN' DOWN THE BOTTOM AND THE MANDOLIN PLAYING THE PART OF THE SNARE AND HI HAT. THE STORIES THOSE TWO TELL... SOMETIMES THEY JUST WANT TO MAKE YOU CRY. I REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW TO DESCRIBE CLASSICAL INDIAN MUSIC TO THOSE THAT HAVE NEVER LISTENED. I GUESS YOU EITHER LIKE IT OR YOU DON'T. I HAPPEN TO LIKE IT A LOT. IT'S GREAT TO LISTEN TO WHEN YOU WANT TO CLEAR YOUR MIND OF ALL THE MUCK THIS WORLD HAS TO OFFER UP. PRETTY MUCH, DISCO STILL SUCKS.

BUT THIS IS PREDICATED UPON THE PERSON'S BECOMING IN EVERY FACET AN AMERICAN, AND NOTHING BUT AN AMERICAN... THERE CAN BE NO DIVIDED ALLEGIANCE HERE.
