About Me

"metamorphosis"

under broad expanse of sky
I watch clouds float by uncaring
how their freedom beckons
I long to fly away

wisps of wishes are compelled
to encase me with silk bindings
here the silence holds me
I long to fly away

now hidden and forgotten
dreams become my rich companion
hope sings with abandon
I long to fly away

secrets murmur in my ear
of what I'm meant to be
hear the promise in its pulse
I long to fly away

suddenly I am remade
dark fetters fall unnoticed
sweetness blows my heart aflutter
I leap to fly away

these mysteries revealing
wild dances worth the crying
redemption birthed through dying
I laugh and fly away

We were recently given a metaphor that a healthy organism is like a tree - it needs culture (foliage & fruit) and structure (trunk and branches). I think our root system at Grace Place is healthy and...
