The wheel of Taranis stands for increase of strength and courage. Something I need very much right now.
I love the Celtic culture
I also enjoy: Art in any form, anything creative or unusual, reading, writing, poetry, drawing, psychology, Politics (I relate mostly with progressives), theology (purely the study of different beliefs)(I'm not associated with any religion but I am spiritual. The closest belief system to mine is Neo-Pagan), sociology, archeology, anthropology, technology, philosophy, theater, music (BIG music addict), big photography addict, photo manipulation, made some jewelry, done some wire wrapping, tried glass blowing once, etc.etc.etc.. Hmmm what else? I like to hike and bike and sing on a mic (preferably in front of drunk people (the singing, not the hiking and biking, just so we're clear ok?)). I'm happiest when I'm traveling extremely long distances. I will play a game of tennis anytime (3AM drunken tennis is faboo). I love camping but wish I had a tent heater. Oh yeah, and I Totally nerd out on coin collecting!
I don't know, I kinda want to meet these chicks.
Seriously though, I'm pretty easy going and open minded. I like the cool laid back people. I want to talk to those folks out there who would go out to the bar with their bunny slippers and a tuxedo on, then order a "nice slow screw against the wall" while winking at their bartender. I love the beatniks with their winesoaked breath, awesome words, great beats and helluva sense of style. Those hairy ass hippies that dance in the streets and smoke bud in the park with their dreadlocks and organic food enjoying the thrill that living itself brings on. The wanderers that will walk through hours of desert or mountains or highway with you in silence just enjoying the world around them. The artists; creative people of all kinds who are involved in any and all forms of expression. The intelligent ones; quoting philosophers and discussing the great books who always have an opinion on just about any subject you bring up to them. The activists who truly want to make a difference in this world. Ah yes.. and we can't forget the pagans now can we? To all who come to this page, NAMASTE

Okay Jenny, I added some in just for you :)
Yes please. I like soooo many different types of music that I couldn't possibly begin to describe my tastes. If you have something to suggest or would maybe like to discuss it, let me know. I'm all ears ( no pun intended, well, actually it kinda was but it was so cheesy and horrible that I didn't really want to take credit for it) :)
I threw in a few that I've been listening to recently: Gogol Bordello, Flogging Molly, A.F.I., The Doobie Brothers, B.B. King, Louis Armstrong, Pink Floyd, Elefant, Supertramp, Spearhead, The Grateful Dead, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, Gorillaz, Sarah McLachlan, The Cheiftains, The Offspring, Spoon, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks, Dire Straits, Moby, Loreena McKennitt, VAST, Violent Femmes, Shiny Toy Guns, Rasputina, Delerium, Ladytron, U2, Kill Hannah, Coldplay, Samuel Barber, Zero7, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Animals, Ali Farka Toure, Espers, Dirty Vegas, Blue Oyster Cult, The Cure, The Clash, Patrick Ball, Bob Marley, Damian Marley, Mucho Buddha, Feels Like Sunday, Glass, Ani Di Franco, Adiemus, Orf, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Prodigy, Poe, Garbage......

I like movies that make you think. I also like Comedies, Stand up comedy, Cartoons, and the occasional psychological mind screw, kinda like Requiem for a Dream or Silence of the Lambs. Some movies that immediately come to mind that I would suggest are Four Rooms, Amalie, and Boondock Saints.

Good for Simpsons, South Park and PBS but not much else.
Okay, maybe Scrubs now and then.
I will always love a good story or a beautifully written verse. Life in metaphors is much appreciated. I enjoy many genres of fiction and like my nonfiction to be informational regarding technique, or open philosophical ideas. Otherwise, I zone out and walk away from preaching on any level.
Some of my favorites are Charles De Lint, Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, Anne Rice, Stephen King (it's true, I like him and I'm not afraid to admit it!), Dylan Thomas, Walt Whitman, Edgar Allen Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Clive Barker, William Shakespeare, Jack Kerouac, J.R.R. Tolkien, Daniel Defoe, Emily Dickinson and Richard Matheson.
ARABESQUE (excerpt from "Moonlight and Vines")
The artist closed her book,
returning it to the shelf
that stored the other
stories of her life.
When she looked up,
there were no riddles in her gaze;
only knowing.
Don't make of us
more than what we are,
she said.
We hold no great secret
except this:
We know that all endeavor is art
when rendered with conviction.
The simple beauty of the everyday
strikes chords
as stirring as
oil on canvas
finger on string
the bouree in
perfect demi-pointe.
The difference is we consider it art.
The difference is we consider art.
When it consumes us,
What consumes us,
is art:
an invisible city we visit in our dreams
Returning,
we are laden down with the baggage of our journeys,
and somewhere,
in a steamer trunk,
or a carry-on,
we carry souvenirs:
signposts,
guidebooks,
messages from beyond.
Some are merely
more opaque than others
-A poem called "Arabesque" from the short story "Saskia" by Charles DeLint
I really prefer news this way
Hmmmm... heroes.
Number one on my list is my Mother for keeping a sense of humor while withstanding all odds and putting up with more than any human being should ever have to for my sister and I. She also taught me what it means to love unconditionally.
My grandparents for showing me stability, love and character.
My sister for being amazing! I've watched her grow up into someone so strong, beautiful, creative, funny and unfailingly loyal. I'm so grateful to have her in my life.
The Brat Prince for standing by me all these years and through all my trials, you are the truest friend I've always had. love love :).
Okay then on with people I don't personally know:
Margaret Cho: She's a great comedian but more importantly, she touches on some very important issues and has a way of being brutally honest to the point that it makes waves.
Ani DiFranco
Seriously, look her up and read about her life. Damn!
As I think of more I will add them
