Milke is a band created by Ra Khahn and Andrew "Friendly" Kornweibel . We're inspired by 80's bands, 90's raves and 2000's production. We put a single out on Adrift Records in 2006 called 'She Says' which Pete Tong played five times, as well as loads of other radio plays, reviews and support. Thanks guys. We've also remixed Justice vs Simian's rather large track "We Are Your Friends".
When we play live, we go as Skim Milke with just Ra and Andrew when space is tight and Full Cream Milke alongside drummer Luke New, and bass player Ru. We've played Bloom, Glade and Encompass festivals, and "In The City" in Manchester 2006. Often we also play little clubs in East London, like 333, 93 Feet East, Cargo, Bar Music Hall, and The Ffuss, which is home really, but also in Berlin at the infamous Club 103, and as far a field as Yekinterinburg in Russia. Now that's REALLY east London.
The next single is a cover of "Your Love" by Frankie Knuckles. We're doing a band version of it, and it's going to be out on Gulp Communications through Beatport and stuff. Our friends Joe and Will Ask have done an amazing remix of it. Next single "proper" is titled "Just Say Yes' with a remix from The Hamptons, and a video of all our friends knocking one out by Scott Weintrob. We're looking forward to it.
