Having first learnt his trade in the early years of 2-step, Killz constantly sought new challenges and found his calling in the Drum 'n' Bass scene. Mastering the double-time technique, he grew to develop a range of styles, hosting skills and charismatic performances.
Pressure (@Warwick Uni) become the setting for 4 years of sell-out events, big DJ's and bigger basslines. As resident of what became the West Midlands' hottest DnB night, he had the fortune to play alongside heavyweights including AndyC, Friction, Marky, ShyFX, Zinc, High Contrast, Sabre, Logistics, Dillinja/Valve, Adam F, Fresh, Baron, Krafty Kutz, MJ Cole, IC3, Det, Dynamite and SP:MC.... as well as supporting the likes of RoniSize, London Electricity and Goldie at Full Cycle, Hospital, Breakbeat Kaos and Ram Record events. Not content with blazing down D'n'B dances, Killa constantly worked on his versatility, be it Hip Hop, Breakbeat or Grime, and has been lucky enough to support Killa Kela, Phi Life Cypher, Foreign Beggars & Roll Deep.
Killa Dan has been on the grind in the studio working on forthcoming material, that will showcase his skills across Hip Hop, D'n'B, Grime, Dancehall, Breaks, Acoustic and beyond. There are also plans for Live band projects featuring vocalists and instrumentalists.
Killa's passion for promoting quality music and new artists has even transferred smoothly to DJing (as 'KDJ'). His successful show on InnaCityFM.com, 'TKOver Presents...', has showcased some of the finest up 'n' coming DJ and MC talent in D'n'B, Breaks, House and Hip Hop. Always eclectic, it is a show where Sizzla could share the playlist with Kano, Pendulum, Fat Freddys Drop or Marvin Gaye! KDJ can also be found DJing around London Town, together with the Bam Boom collective. Log on for dates and info.
Killa also writes a successful music blog/magazine that has built a solid readership with guest interviews and gig reviews from UK's thriving underground scene. Check it out here... www.killadan.blogspot.com
