PSYCHOBILLY & ROCK'N'ROLL

About Me

I'm into Psychobilly and Rock'n'Roll, collecting records, going to gigs and having fun with mates. It started like that in the last quarter of the previous century and is more or less like it up to now. I'm a Psychobilly fan since more than 20 years. Despite never having the opportunity to go to the Klub Foot, I attended such great events as the 1st Psycho Festival in Dendermonde (Belgium, 1987) with Torment, Frenzy, Demented are Go, the Batmobile, Go Katz (or was it Brain Decay ?) which is on top of my favourite gigs ever with others like the one in Blockshock (Berlin, 1988) with Mad Sin, the Scallywags and the Scam or the Guana Batz at the Dingwalls (London, 1988). Every Drunkabilly night in Belgium is a great night as well, especially in Gent Overpoortstraat - Hi to Christophe, Jupiler and de Vlaams Leuw. Here in Rijsel (Lille in french), we had a good place for gigs; the Rockline. Bad news: instead of carrying on running it, a florist shop took place a few years ago. It was the only chance to see the likes of the Meteors, the Frantic Flintstones, the Batmobile or so here in Rijsel. A bit earlier, the Wasington Dead Cats had played a gig in an disused church of Lille by the times they were throwing vegetables and flour at their audience. The place is now a social workshop. As it is not the right place for Rock'n'Roll, I also support the local football team Lille Olympique Sporting Club (LOSC) which reached three times the UEFA Champions League since 2000 with our wonderful Ludovik Obraniak.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

All kinds of crazy Rock'n'Roll maniacs and Psychobillies from all over the world

Music:

Movies:

Faves are becoming a bit old; "Bad Taste" and "Street Trash". I also enjoy most of the films with Robert De Niro.

Television:

This one below was better than anything on TV. The only right place for TV screens is in bars and pubs so you can watch football games with your friends drinking beer "van 't vat".
